The Garrett Company is known for their quality tools in the woodworking industry: this impressive compendium showcases antique and modern tools, packing in over 450 photos of tools, discussing their use, and providing both a visual display of tools and a history of changing production and needs. Add expert user's tips and you have a worthy gift edition.

This is a coffee table book more than one you'll take to your shop. It has some interesting and useful info about using the tools, but the enjoyment comes from seeing tools you have never seen before. I bet you'll also learn something about a tool you have that you didn't know before.
Get the book and a cup of coffee. Go sit in your easy chair and enjoy.

I LOVE TOOLS! TO HAVE A BOOK THAT IS SOME WHAT OF AN ENCYCLOPEDIA FOR TOOLS IS GREAT. I LIKE TO JUST LOOK THROUGH IT EVEN IF I AM NOT LOOKING FOR SOMETHING IN PARTICULAR. IT HAS BRIEF DESCRIPTIONS THAT ARE THOROUGH ENOUGH TO EXPLAIN EACH CATEGORY OR TOOL.
