these are pretty heavy duty linemans pliers. I previously had a 6 and 7" linemans pliers of lesser quality (generic) and they work fine I just decided to give these a try. They work great and appear they will last a lifetime of my homeowner/DIY'er use. The only thing I do not like is that when fully close there is a small gap in the ends of the pliers. This may in fact be the correct design for lineman's pliers so that they do not overly crimp wire or other items you are using them on so I did not take off any stars for this, but wanted to note it in my review. These pliers are very tight in the joint with no slop.

these are very good pliers. the grips are large but fairly comfortable (perhaps not for small hands). I have purchased several products from klein and irwin lately. irwins seems to be very good quality for the money. overall I will say klein definately is better and what I will buy from now.
irwin is great for the home shop. profesionals I don't think would be satisfied, but klein
is significantly more expensive.

I'm a DIYer...far from a professional but wanted a set on linemans to do a bunch of different things: cut wire, general gripping/bending, and utility pliers.

Buy them. They're cheap, they're useful, and you'll find yourself using them quite a bit.

I run a home repair business and use a lot of Irwin hand tools. I have not been disappointed. These lineman pliers are great. They are nicely macined, fit together well and cut great. They have a nice finish and look sharp. These will be around for a long time. Really like the Irwin tools.

Good quality pliers with very nice tight joint and good quality steel. My gripe though is that the jaws do not open as much as they should. Only about 7/8" at the tip. Fine if you're using them as lineman's pliers, not so much if like me you use for other things like hose clamps etc..

They look professional, but theywould last 2 months of good use.I still use them once in a while when i can't find my knipex pliers but they're dull. For just general around the house work they should be ok. But if you intend to use them on job sites then be ready to sharpen them.

Love Irwin tools. Some Irwin tools are still made in USA, just not all of them. I try to buy American when I can. Use at work everyday. Found out by research, that apex tool group owns a lot of different brands, that are or were made in USA. Love Amazon.

Good for the price. They need to open up a wider to cut things. A pair of Kline will cut almost anything. These not quite. You get what you pay for and these are great if your not an electrician! !
