5.0 out of 5 stars Definietely for Aqua and Eurodance fans.
I won't say this C.D. is good, because it can only be liked by dance fans. It's cheesy, funny, corny, childish and catchy. You'll probably either love it or hate it. If you liked Aqua or Gina G, buy this CD for sure. Otherwise you won't be able to stand it (like the rest of my family).

2.0 out of 5 stars Few thrillers, many fillers
I brought this CD about 2 years ago. I don't know what possessed me. I think it was the inane catchiness of Doodah. I hoped the rest of the album would be as fun and stupid as this. What I got was a few basic doof doof tracks and lots of fillers, including track 10, which was a tragic attempt at a ballad. The idea of the album (which is done by real musicians- how could...

5.0 out of 5 stars Groovy, kid friendly techno!, December 8, 1999

I first heard witch doctor on the radio in Calgary, Canada and instantly went out and bought the album. I teach dance and find it difficult to find age appropriate music that has a danceable beat. Toonage by the Cartoons has fit the bill perfectly. It takes kid oriented songs and adds an adult groove that the kids find very cool. I have bought this album for every little person I know and it becomes an instant favorite. My six year old nephew is particularily fond of witch doctor and has made up what he calls the crazy dance. This is a terrific buy!

I heard this group while studying in France during the spring and was amazed that no one here in America had ever heard of them. They turn classic songs into a pumping beat that make you want to dance. That takes real talent.

Hey, it is kinda cool after having parents that would play the originals of all these fun songs when I was kid. Now it is nice to get back to that feeling of being a kid again with the songs being redone.

Very upbeat and fun music to listen to, especially in the car with young kids. Would also be great for working-out to. It's a good album all around.

What I got was a few basic doof doof tracks and lots of fillers, including track 10, which was a tragic attempt at a ballad. The idea of the album (which is done by real musicians- how could they??!!) is a 60's style "techno-billy" sound. Standout tracks include Aisy Waisy and Witch Doctor and a cover of the Police hit Doo-do-do-de-da-da-da (because they pinched it from the Police). The rest is pretty mediocre
