5.0 out of 5 stars My Children's Favorite All-Time Book
I have three children and this book has been a part of our family for many years. It became part of our family tradition to read The Tooth Fairy by Audrey Wood each time one of the children lost a tooth-they learned the words by heart! It's a cute story and has great pictures which really capture the children's imagination. Now that my children are all grown, I have saved...

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
This book did not have a sweet storyline like I was expecting, but rather centers around a jealous sibling who has a somewhat disrespectful attitude and attempts to deceive the Tooth Fairy. I would not recommend this book for reading aloud in a school setting or for parents who are discerning about children's literature.

My daughter loves this book and we read it to her every night. It's a cute little tale about exactly what the tooth Fairy does with all those teeth she collects. It has a wonderful moral, too! Very cute!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book, November 11, 2006
When I was younger, this book was in my dentist's office. Every time we would go to the dentist, I would either read it, or my mom would read it for me. It's a very cute book, and it teaches kids to take care of their teeth, as well as not to lie. I remember I took very good care of my teeth, because when they fell out, I would want it to go to the "Hall of Perfect Teeth." I love this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tooth Fairy, September 21, 2005

I have owned this book for many years. I bought the at book fair at my own children's school years ago. It is now worn and falling apart from use. I am a substitute teacher now and whenever possible take the opportunity to read this book to children anywhere from kindergarten through third grade. Every time I read this book the children beg me to read it again. Then they line up for "turns" to read it for themselves. I can not reccomend this book highly enough. It is "the bomb" when it comes to reading terrific literature. My experience with this book has boosted my interest in all books authored by Audrey Wood.

I still have this book from when my oldest was little (she's now 23). Three more children later and the youngest, now five, loves it just as much as the others have. Its a great adventure for the imagination and the wonderful illustrations really help take the children into the fun. One big plus is the way it motivates kids into taking care of their teeth. I can't recommend this book highly enough.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great service, December 24, 2011

Great Service. The book was delivered quickly and in perfect condition. This book is one that I read to my children 15 years ago and it is perfect for young children who are in the process of losing thier baby teeth. It explains how the tooth fairy uses the teeth she collects to build her castle and she keeps the best teeth for the hall of perfect teeth. It also has the element of jealously between siblings as Mathew loses his tooth, but Jesica does not. She tries to fool the tooth tooth fairy by painting a kernel of corn white, but gets caught in her deception. Everything ends well when Jessica discovers she has wiggley tooth so soon she will be losing a tooth like her brother did.

I was given this book when I was a child and now I have my own child I am buying it for him. This is a great story about what happens when you loose a tooth and it also teaches children to take care of their teeth. Timeless story. I have wonderful memories of reading this book with my parents and will do the same with my own children.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspired all my stories about the tooth fairy, January 5, 2009
This was the first book I ever read by myself. Still, after all these years, I used this book as my inspiration to tell the story of the tooth fairy to my niece and nephews, and will also use it for my children too. Kind of old-school illustrations, but I think that's part of the charm.
The "Tooth Hall of Fame" part works great for making kids want to brush their teeth. Aunty approved.

5.0 out of 5 stars See what Play Wit Me Nana blog spot has to say about this book!, July 7, 2008

My sister read this book to her kids many years ago. (Now they have and are having kids of their own.) They remember the story today as my grand niece goes through her first loose tooth experience. It must be a good book. Read more on her blog at "Play Wit Me Nana."
