This review is from: Tooth Fairy Tales (Hardcover)
Our daughter's Tooth Fairy Ella left this book & $2.00 in US money when our daughter lost her 1st tooth. If you are unfamiliar with " As Simple As That books" which feature Rain and Bo. Rain is six years old and was adopted from China and Bo is her blue hippo that has been in Rain's family for a long time. There are 2 other books in this series called "Families Are Forever" and "Dumplings are Delicious". In each of these books the first page starts out the same with My name is Rain, I'm almost 6 and I lived in China until I was adopted and ends with it's last page with " this is my story, this is what I learned.... This book is interesting because it talks about what happens when children from other countries like African countries, Guatemala, Russia, India and China loose their teeth, what they do and or who takes their teeth. Another good book about teeth and children from all over the world for older children is " Throw Your Tooth on the Roof: Tooth Traditions from Around the World" by Selby Beeler and G. Brian Karas and features more countries.

We bought this book for our Chinese daughter, but have given it to many of her friends as they are anxious to lose that first tooth. Great 5th birthday gift. It helps children realize that what they are going through happens to children all over the world.
