5.0 out of 5 stars Drew's Awesomeness in a Nutshell.
Finally, a published collection of Drew drawings!! Toothpaste for Dinner is the greatest webcomic ever written, with comedy and references spreading all horizons. I've been a huge TPFD fan for years now and some of my absolute favorites are here, including a slightly altered version of "Paper Jam."

The best thing about Drew is he knows exactly how people work...

versus
3.0 out of 5 stars Good, cheap and quick book
This book is very strange, its humor is very depressing and apathetic , so be warned.
I kinda liked but there where a few highlights and that's it, the rest of the material is pretty dull.
Also the format is like a one-box-comic which doesn't give much room for jokes that aren't basically one-liners..
Having said all of this this book cost really cheap...

The best thing about Drew is he knows exactly how people work and calls them out on some of the lame things we say and do just for social acceptance. For example, the one where the man complains about the bathroom smelling, and Drew replies "Yeah, it's almost like people pull their pants down in there and poop." Little things like that show the brilliant mind of Drew in action, and this book celebrates it all. It even has an introduction by the man himself. Not that anyone else would or should, but yeah.

Anything by Drew I will eat up automatically, but this book really is a great collection to take with you to keep yourself entertained wherever you go. My ONLY complaint is the lack of Robarb in the book, but the quality of drawings in here more than makes up for it. I hope this is the first of many TPFD collections, because having them in print is awesome when the internet breaks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing., December 29, 2005
This review is from: Toothpaste for Dinner (Paperback)
Great selection of some of the best Toothpaste for Dinner cartoons all smooshed into one book you can fit in your pocket...if you have an abnormally large ass...

Anyway, buy it. Read it over and over. Make your friends read it and buy it and read it over and over.

Drew 2008.

5.0 out of 5 stars Drew, as always, a genius., November 14, 2005

This small book, though just hardly touching on the surface of Drew's awesome sense of humor, is still gold.

It includes many of the classics that any avid Toothpaste fan should know by heart, but many, many others.

While I must agree that some of the selections aren't my top picks, any person would still be hard pressed to not find several good ones that they can laugh along with. This book is only for those with a certain sort of humor - certainly, as commented before, not as universal as most mainstream comics - and many of the jokes are difficult to pick up on without having been exposed to other information or situations beforehand. But, even with that being said, I believe it is still a work of genius, and anyone and everyone with a thinking brain should be able to enjoy this book in some way.

4.0 out of 5 stars Who wouldn't want a career in chemistry after this?, January 31, 2006
This review is from: Toothpaste for Dinner (Paperback)
My friend lent me a copy of this book, so I came into the whole Toothpaste For Dinner phenomenon cold. The first hint I got that something was up was when my girlfriend picked it up and was laughing hysterically in the first five minutes. This is unbelievably funny. So funny it hurts. So funny it's dangerous.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easily my favorite Christmas present!, January 10, 2006

It's a lot easier to let people in on the magic that is toothpastefordinner.com when I can whip out this book and point to a comic for pretty much any situation. I tend to think of it at inopportune times, generally when I'm walking alone or getting berated by my boss or something, and crack up thinking of the comics. Yeahhhh, haha. Great book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thank the gods and sunny Jesus for this book, December 29, 2005
This review is from: Toothpaste for Dinner (Paperback)
This collection will leave you wanting more, more, more.

If you visit www.toothpastefordinner.com regularly, then you will relish the fact that you can carry around your favourite drawings with you.

If you are unfamiliar with Toothpaste for Dinner, than it's fair to say that it can be like Dilbert without story arcs and with better humour.

It's a short, easy read (I finished it in one sitting), but will provide ample entertainment.

5.0 out of 5 stars I think I just peed myself a little. Yep. That's pee., February 16, 2006
This review is from: Toothpaste for Dinner (Paperback)
Did you grow up listening to indie (or at least a couple of REM songs)? Do you work a crappy office job? Tired of the weak comics that newspapers try to sell to you (except for the boondocks and pearls before swine... and i mean come on, more garfield? vintage peanuts? way to keep your finger on the pulse...)? Care more about the humor than the art? If you answered "yes" to 25% of the above questions or more, you'll love this book like hipsters like tight jeans and bad haircuts.

It's a perfect coffee table book. And, if you like to laugh while you go to the bathroom like I do you can keep it on the back of your toilet as long as you/your guy friends don't drunkenly pee that high.

I guarantee guffaws, snorts, chortles, and yes, a little bit of pee.

5.0 out of 5 stars drew, September 9, 2005
This review is from: Toothpaste for Dinner (Paperback)
From his livejournal site to his corrupt.net site to toothpaste, drew has never let me down. This is the third drew publication I will own, but it's the first available to the mainstream. His witty drawings and long inter-net ramblings are more specific to the twenty-something generation, but definitely can be appreciated by all.

A good selection of comics from Toothpaste for Dinner.

It was fairly amusing, but I thought there were funnier ones on the website (which you can see for free). But it is nice to have them in book form.
