This shower curtain is cute and catchy and reasonably good quality; but the fabric is white and thin enough to be a little on the sheer side.

I bought it despite warnings on other websites that it contains mistakes.

It does, in fact, contain errors:
1. A few words are misspelled.
2. A few words' definitions are just wrong.
3. Several words are labeled as the wrong part of speech.
4. Quite a few words' definitions contain grammar errors: missing apostrophes, definitions written as adjectives when the words are really another part of speech, etc.

A commonly suggested solution to this on other sites is to correct the errors with a red Sharpie. I tried that, and unfortunately it doesn't work very well. The Sharpie bleeds terribly on the fabric, so that the words you write aren't all that legible. I'm pretty sure, however, that red fabric paint will do a better job.

Overall, I'm neither dissatisfied nor thrilled with the product. I wouldn't recommend someone seriously studying for the SAT or GRE with it, though, because it has enough errors to cause problems. I teach college English, and after reading over it one time, I'd like to make at least 50 corrections on it.

I got this for our teen who will be taking the SATs soon. He refuses to study with the big book we got him - so I figured if I got this, he wouldn't be able to avoid looking at it!

The font is about 3/4" high and easy to read. If this helps him even get an extra few words right, it will have been worth it.

The bonus is our elementary child LOVES it and is constantly trying to use the new words in a sentence.

We have a 10th grader, an 8th grader and all of their friends hanging around. If it helps them learn a few more words it was worth the 20 bucks!!

I got this for my son, but then decided to hang it over some closet doors in the hallway so we could benefit more by its usefulness.

There have been some comments by other reviewers about inaccurate definitions, but I think for the most part they are very good with a few maybe needing a little better detail, but there is still enough to get an understanding. After all, this is simply to serve as a reminder and refresher not as an instruction book.

There are some words on it that I seem to never be able to remember and for this it is especially useful.

I would recommend this very highly where ever there are persons who are interested in building their vocabulary, or any setting where vocabulary improvement is considered valuable.

One very important thing that happens here is finding you thought you knew the meaning of a word and it was not as you thought. Even so, it does not take the place of dictionary entries where there are multiple meanings for the same word. Here it is mostly the most common usage briefly presented but in a very interesting way as you can tell each word from the other fairly easily.

In fact, after reading this I am going to move it from the hallway and use it instead as an additional window drape in the area we have as a study area and set it up with the type of hooks that will allow me to take it down and store it when necessary. This will be even better!

I'm just kidding this is a well made shower curtain with many good words on it. Only one definition however which may be misleading to some.

both my kids have to admit that they have in fact learned new words because of this shower curtain. great idea!
