The book arrives with a beautiful clear cover and a sticker saying "Now includes seasons 1 through 5" This is advertized as the revised edition with a copyright date of June 2009. However, when you open the book not only is the copyright date 2008, but it DOES NOT include the newer seasons. I called customer service, explained the problem, sent the book back and the replacement I received is EXACTLY THE SAME. It's as if amazon put the old books in the new sleeve. I already have the old one so I want the new one I ordered. VERY BUMMED!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I had the same problem as the previous reviewer. There are two recipes from the other seasons, but the book is not fully updated. There are NO interviews with the contestants from seasons 4 or 5. If you love the show, then wait for a properly updated edition.

This edition is VERY similar to the earlier one but it does have a couple of recipes from the last couple of seasons that have been added (one of Stephanie's recipes and one of Hosea's recipes). I don't have the original version so I am quite pleased with this cookbook! If you are a Top Chef junkie, you'll enjoy reading it.

I like the cookbook, I just wish there were more recipes in place of the stories and pictures of the chefs. I appreciate having the information, but I bought the cookbook to get a lot of recipes and I don't feel that it's filled with enough of them. Same problem as the others. Nice enough cookbook, but just go ahead and buy the 1st edition. This one has three new recipes (one from Season 4's winner, Stephanie, one from Season 4's runner-up, Richard, and one from Season 5's winner, Hosea). It's really silly to call it a revised edition just for three recipes. (There aren't any interviews, blurbs, etc. for anything past Season 3.)

This is an excellent book and recipe companion for those who watch the show regularly. What was disappointing about this product is the sticker on the cover of the book that says "Now includes Seasons 1 through 5" and yet when you open the book, it is still only covering seasons 1-3 with a few incidental recipes thrown-in from the 4th & 5th seasons. If this book had been priced more than the original 2008 edition I would have been p.o.'d, but for the same price it's only worth mentioning that there is virtually no difference between the two editions. Hopefully with them just having closed season 8, this book can actually be updated into something a bit more comprehensive.

As an avid Top Chef fan when I realized Mother's Day was coming I knew my cousin would live this book. And love it she does. Recipes have already been put to the test and we love them.

This was a gift for my husband. He loved it. We enjoyed reading about the contestants. Great cookbook.
