4.0 out of 5 stars Great Crossover Collection
This book is a great collection of Marvel/Top Cow crossovers that saves you the trouble of hunting down each separate issue. 3.0 out of 5 stars Great Art, No story
If you're gonna get this it will be for the Art. Only. Some characters from both Top Cow and Marvel are just thrown together with the hopes that the story will make sense. But it doesn't - and I don't care. The art makes it all worth it for me. I'm giving it 3 stars and not 4 simply because of the lack of a storyline.

This book is a great collection of Marvel/Top Cow crossovers that saves you the trouble of hunting down each separate issue. Included is the Devil's Reign crossover, an enormous multi-character story arc that ran for six or seven issues and made me fall in love with the characters Cyblade and Ballistic. The artwork is beautifully reproduced. The only problem with this paperback is the binding is weak, and the pages start falling out as soon as you start reading it. If this doesn't bother you too much, it's a worthwhile purchase. Just keep in mind that you'll be fumbling with loose pages quite often.

5.0 out of 5 stars Crossovers, May 25, 2008
This review is from: Top Cow/Marvel: The Crossover Collection Vol. 1 (Paperback)
The story told in this comic book is one of a devil who wants to convert an alternate earth into his own personal hell. To go againt him there are an array of super heroes, such as Silver Surfer, Witchblade, Elektra, Cyblade, Wolverine, etc.

What I really enjoyed of this comic book wasd the chance of seeing so many super heroes from Top Cow and Marvel together. And the story wasn't bad, I enjoyed it.

Also, there are two one-shoots on there as well, one of "Witchblade/Wolverine" and another one of "The Darkness/The Hulk". I prefered the one of "The Darkness/The Hulk", but the other one was good too.

This collection of comics was both very long and very interesting, with most of it going through a continuing story (Known as Devil's Reign). The Hulk/The Darkness also gave a good insight as to what would happen between those 2. Good job Top Cow for creating this.

Don't be fooled by the great cover. This was one of, if not, THE worst crossover tpb's I've ever purchased. I'd have to say that even a lot of the interior art isn't so great so it almost comes off like a fanzine & this wouldn't be such a bad thing if the stories were interesting. And the fact that they're not doesn't help any.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unlikely heroes, April 21, 2009

I just finished reading this graphic novel and it reminded me why I used to be such a avid collector of comics. The two greatest attributes to me were a great story and incredible artwork. This issue which encompasses a 10-issue collection is fantastic in which TOP COW displays their artistic talent and range in showcasing some of Marvel's and their own memorable characters. To pit these characters against one another is even more thrilling. TOP COW continues to produce very high quality work and these collaborations with MARVEL is just another great example of their work.

2.0 out of 5 stars Just okay, June 26, 2010

While I enjoy many of the Top Cow and Marvel characters included in this volume, it's a pretty generic crossover collection. I didn't have the interest to read all of the stories in it, but the art was cool. The Witchblade/Wolverine story was my favorite, though admittedly basic in nature. If you wish the Witchblade and Elektra were real women, you'll get a little bit of PG-fanservice that might make it worth your while, but in retrospect, I would have passed on this collection.
