4.0 out of 5 stars Good Balls for the Price!
I purchased a box of these about the same time as I bought a box of the Polara self-correcting balls. Comparing the two, the Polara is better off the tee and corrects my slice better than the Top Flite. However, the Top Flite has a few advantages over the Polara. First is the price: you can buy two boxes of Top Flites with 15 balls in each box for roughly the same price...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nothing special
Don't take this the wrong way, it's probably my golfing skills... They were a great price, but didn't help my terrible slice. No ball can. It's my technique.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Balls for the Price!, February 4, 2011

This review is from: Top-Flite XL7000 Golf Balls - Super Straight (Misc.)
I purchased a box of these about the same time as I bought a box of the Polara self-correcting balls. Comparing the two, the Polara is better off the tee and corrects my slice better than the Top Flite. However, the Top Flite has a few advantages over the Polara. First is the price: you can buy two boxes of Top Flites with 15 balls in each box for roughly the same price of one box of a dozen Polaras. (For those who are bad at math that means 30 Top Flite balls are app. the same price as 12 Polaras). Second, the Top Flite is USGA conforming and the Polara is not. Since I'm a weekend duffer, this doesn't bother me but it will matter to those who participate in any of their club tournaments. Third, the Polara does not putt well. The Top Flite is better on the green although truthfully I usually replace it with a Titleist or Callaway on the green. So I guess what I'm saying is if you don't mind playing with three different balls on every hole, and your playing partner isn't a stickler for the rules, hit the Polara off the tee, the Top Flite in the fairway, and putt with a Titleist.

I've used the evolutions of this ball since the XL 2000. The Super Soft and Super Long for the most part and thought I'd try the new XL 7000 Super Straight. They feel good and seem to help pull out some of that spin that gives some of my swings a straight, then sudden right fade (RH golfer).
