To be honest, I haven't really used this guide all that much. I bought the Eyewitness San Francisco book, and that book has been my go-to when I head to the city. This one has a lot of great info in it though. I feel like it's gotten more useful as I've gotten to know the city better. It's just a little too pared down for someone who is brand new to the area.

I have used this series before - Amsterdam and Budapest. It was then a new to me and is absolutely excellent for an individual city. Highlighting the top 10 sights is really helpful with a limited time. Maps are excellent and easily handled. Structure and content excellent. Small size, convenient and easy to stow in a backpack. Highly recommended.

I always buy the DK Top 10 books. They are great for city breaks. We just returned from San Francisco and this book was perfect. It is the smaller size and has a great map in the back. It is filled with the best places to see without an over abundance of information. I love them and never travel without either the DK or DK top 10 book.

This guide is the perfect tool for a short holiday. I spent 4 days in San Francisco with a friend and it provided all of the city highlights. I would definitely recommend the book!

Eyewitness Travel are the only books I buy for travel. They are easy to read, lots of great ideas and tips for travel in your chosen destination. I have about twenty of these and they truly are the best. When going abroad I will buy both books for my destination. Because the Top 10 are easy to throw in a bag as you head out the door, and the larger versions are great for planning.

Nice concise book, easy to take with you as you sight-see. Hits all the top places to see. Great purchase!

I really used this book to psych me up about my trip to San Francisco more than anything. Once I got there, I only had a couple days, and they were already planned for me, so I didn't get to use the book for ideas of places to go. But now I will look through it to reflect on the good memories of my trip.
