It's one of the best racing games for SNES. If you played the original Top Gear, the natural camera angle for racing has changed making it slightly harder to race.

Since now you are able to custom your vehicle in single player, in my opinion To Gear 2 is better than the original. However, without a doubt, Top Gear 3000 is the best in the series, especially for single player.

They are all fine games for 2 player racing, but I have slight preference to the original Top Gear because the natural camera angles are a little better for racing split screen.

Okay so let me start off by saying Top Gear 2 sucked. Why? Because Kemco took a step backwards in designing this game. Honestly Top Gear was wayyy better than the second version. Just because you can customize your car and change its colors doesn't mean you have to lose focus on the graphics. Comparing the two games to each other I wound up playing Top Gear again. I've had Top Gear for 19 years now, and when I bought Top Gear 2 just to add it to my collection and see what I have been missing out on all these years...HONESTLY...I've been missing out on nothing. The company that I purchased it from was AWESOME! THE GAME IS IN BRAND NEW CONDITION!....My beef is certainly not from the SELLER...NO WAY. MY BEEF IS WITH THE GAME. The sound fx suck!, the music sucks! the whole game sucks!... Not only does the computer cheat when you're doing top speed on a fully customized car and upgrades but the cars don't even look different. Everyone has the same car except they have different colors. Come on man! In Top Gear you had the purple car, the white, the blue and the red....THEY ALL LOOKED DIFFERENT.....I was very disappointed with this game because I think they should have put their heads together and done a better job. I understand that it was made in the 90's and I'm not comparing the game to a PS3 game...but I AM comparing it to the prequel....the sequel should've done way better. Do not waste your money unless you want to and you want to have it in your collection so that you can sell your game console for more $$$ later on. In my opinion, after dealing with this game I youtubed the games before purchasing them to see what they look like before hand so that I can pick and choose which game I want to ACTUALLY PLAY....BOGUS! SERIOUSLY BOGUS!...Anywho, buy at your own risk...just compare both Top Gear 1 and 2 off youtube and see what I'm saying. Trust me you're better off not buying any other Top Gear after the 1st one.
