Whoa... one hot, sexy read!, March 8, 2010
Top Men by G.A. Hauser is the third book in the Heroes series and the first of G.A Hauser's books that I have read! I have to say that I was won over with the loveable characters of Mickey and Jeff. Theirs is a seriously erotic yet at times extremely volatile relationship that I was at certain moments not ready for. But in getting to know the characters I found that each scene was completely necessary in it's own way. Two cops, now partners, their relationship is new. As only a few weeks having revealed their sexuality to each other just a short time ago. Since then things have been hot and heavy, and that would be putting it lightly. They can't keep their hands off each other, which includes crime scenes and homes of suspects. Dangerous games these two are playing but that is part of their attraction to each other. The love spats Mickey and Jeff get into are downright fierce at times, always ending in some of the most erotic sexual encounters I have ever read. Part of their problem is that Mickey is done playing the dating game. He has found the man he wants to have a relationship with and that would be Jeff, thing is that Jeff is having a good time and doesn't want to settle down. Not that I he doesn't want Mickey and not that he isn't 100% faithful to him, but he isn't ready to commit and this causes a serious and potentially damaging problem for the two. Mickey has even asked Jeff to move in with him, but is completely re-buffed by Jeff. Mickey comes across to me as a complete sweetheart and although both are alpha males he seems a little softer to me and more open with his feelings. Often times with Jeff's aloofness this creates insecurities in Mickey which lead to a lot of their arguments.
Extremely sexually charged, witty, blatantly raw and necessarily so this is love story that will capture you and suck you in until the very last word. I so wanted to see them happy and for Jeff to see the light. Mickey was offering him his heart and at times I was so sure he wasn't going to take it. G.A. Hauser has a new fan in Book Junkie and now I just have to go back and read books 1 & 2 in the series. I can't wait!!!

A great end to a great trilogy, January 29, 2010
If you are a true G.A Hauser fan you would have noticed that he likes to introduce his caracters in interesting ways in other books. We met Mickey and Jeff for the first time in Two in-Two out. I was addicted to them then and am extremely happy they have their own book.
Mickey and Jeff are partners in the LAPD and this book starts with them being sex partners as well. There is a little explination of how they found out the other was gay which led to their current relationship. Both men as yu can tell are "top men" in the sence that they were extremely masculine and loved being rough with eachother (which happened often)and both liked being dominated and dominating the other. The sex in this books is amazing in itself because there was so much violence going on when Mickey and Jeff got it on. There was even a big "fight" at Mickey's appartment, which he shared with his sister (while his siter was at home) that had me wondering how neither of them had to be taken to the hospital for some kind of internal or external damages, it was so rough. It was soooo HOT!
This book revolves around past insecruities on Jeff's part and Mickey trying to get him to realize that they were meant to be together.
There was an amazing scene where G.A brought the main characters from Two in-Two out and Man to Man together with Mickey and Jeff for a BBQ that left me wanting to be a fly on the wall or a gay man (and I'm a woman!).
An amazing book that is well worth it.

Cops, Fireman, Lifeguards oh my, April 30, 2011
This review is from: Top Men (Kindle Edition)
First there is many rough sex scenes and it was hard to play romance in with this in every scene. I also got tired of Mickey complaining about the way he was being treated and getting mad but then going right back to the same thing.
The good things out way the bad. I started my G. A Hauser books with Man to Man and now this one. I am glad I feel in love with Tanner and Josh (Lifegaurds) in man to man because it made the party scenes much funnier. I was glad this book had a little more about Blake and Hunter in it (Fireman). The main characters were Mickey and Jeff (LAPD Cops) that fall in love and have hot mad sex all the time. Mickey wants stable life with someone Jeff is not so sure. The conflict of this one topic is played out in the book.
I would recommend that if you are looking at these to begin with Man to Man. However I just learned there is another in this series so I will be looking for it next.
