unexpected tight a** cd!!, September 3, 1999

i didn't know what expect from him since i've never heard ofhim before. i bought it after i heard "ghetto fame" hisfirst tight single. i'm glad as hell i did because every song is phat! only two songs were produced by no limit, the rest were produced by k-lou records(a west coast co.) only 3 songs i didn't care for "we riderz" w/magic, "hoez & tramps" w/fiend, and "we ain't hard to find" w/ snoop and mystikal. the rest are sweet as hell! 3 interludes, but they're funny especially "f*** barney"! the best are" bodicussy", "ghetto fame", doggs ride", "oh! u don't know", and "killafornia". 21 songs and 18 are phat as f***! must buy, even if u don't like no limit...cuz it's more of a underground west coast album. a new star on the rise, for sure!!!!

FAKE soldier!!!!!, September 12, 1999
This review is from: On Top of Da World (Audio CD)
first of all, Lil Italy is NOT NOT NOT a No Limit Soldier. he is on a different record label, but because he was friends with master p from back in the day, he was lucky enough to have No Limit put out his album. the only decent parts of this album is when the REAL soldiers drop a verse or two. most of the beats are not done by the No Limit production team, so they suck! and since he's not a real soldier, we probably won't see him on any more No Limit albums, which is the best thing i have to say!

Great Debut, worth every penny, January 27, 2004
This review is from: On Top of Da World (Audio CD)
Lil Italy's debut was indeed groundbreaking. The album starts with the track "Ghetto Fame" which he and Silkk The Shocker rip through verses like kids getting free lunch. Amongst the albums highlights include "We Aint Hard 2 Find", "Bodicussy", "Power", & "Down N Dirty" It is well worth the money, Just get a used one.
