i didn't know what expect from him since i've never heard ofhim before. i bought it after i heard "ghetto fame" hisfirst tight single. i'm glad as hell i did because every song is phat! only two songs were produced by no limit, the rest were produced by k-lou records(a west coast co.) only 3 songs i didn't care for "we riderz" w/magic, "hoez...

1.0 out of 5 stars FAKE soldier!!!!!
first of all, Lil Italy is NOT NOT NOT a No Limit Soldier. he is on a different record label, but because he was friends with master p from back in the day, he was lucky enough to have No Limit put out his album. the only decent parts of this album is when the REAL soldiers drop a verse or two. most of the beats are not done by the No Limit production team, so they...

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Debut, worth every penny, January 27, 2004

Lil Italy's debut was indeed groundbreaking. The album starts with the track "Ghetto Fame" which he and Silkk The Shocker rip through verses like kids getting free lunch. Amongst the albums highlights include "We Aint Hard 2 Find", "Bodicussy", "Power", & "Down N Dirty" It is well worth the money, Just get a used one.

If you think this album isn't good you must have not listened to the same CD I did...I'd never heard him but on MERCEDES album..I thought he was tight on that...plus I get every NO LIMIT release anyway..I didn't know what to expect.. First song GAME TIGHT...tight as a mug...COME AND GET IT featuring Master P...tight as well...ON top OF DA WORLD..tight..We ain't hard to find wit Snoop Dogg and Mystikal...is second best song on this LP....more others good as well..best songs are I can't believe which sounds like MASE's song why u lookin' at me...and BODICUSSy is a funny song and is also the best on here....If you listen to one song you will like it..so don't listen to people who say it ain't good..cause they ain't real...MYSITKAL..Let's get ready to rumblepick it up

This whole album was on hit! I can ride to this entire CD. I examine music, especially the ones that actually make sense. I gotta give it to No Limit, this is one of the best albums they have ever released in my opinion. I pray that nobody sleeps on this album!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Lil Italy makes Big debeau in Soldier Country, August 16, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: On Top of Da World (Audio CD)
Look out there is another cold soldier hitting hard in New Orleans. The combination of Lil Italy Snoop and Mystikal on Where My Soldiers at? was definitely a blowing some speakers here in the Little Rock. That single may by itself have saved this record. Lil Italy has not developed enough speed to compete for major record spots with Mystikal, Snoop, or the Miller Boys, but wants this Soulja develops, watch over head, he gonna drop some bombs. -D.J.
