I know for adults the top of the TV is supposed to be the ideal location to mount the Kinect. But what about children in the 4-7 yr old range? Does it pick them up well from the higher vantage point?

I think it would pick them up better from above. My kinect is below the tv and it cuts off our feet. It sees more of the room when it's up higher.

Works much better for child above the television. Overall a better experience above the television.

I have a 67" Samsung LED on a stand. Mounting the kinect above it would put it at about 8 feet in the air. I have about 12 feet in front of the tv to work with.

Since the Kinect will be obviously pointing downward all the time, will that affect it's ability to track your body? I also have kids, and it may be hard to see them since they are smaller.

Anyone used this successfully with a Samsung slim mounted tv? Looks like this mount needs some extra space in back.

I used to have a DLP. Based on how this clip attaches, I would bet it would NOT work with a DLP set. I think the back of the set would be way too thick near the top of the set where this clip would need it to be thin.
