4.0 out of 5 stars Great Fenders
Fenders are very easy to install. Easy to take off when not needed and durable for long use. With the flared ends it catches alot of water other fenders don't. Good price for a fender set such as these!

3.0 out of 5 stars Very nice but can be very fragile!
These two pair of front and rear fenders were my first that I installed on my mountain bike. Let me tell you once you put these fenders on your bike, it gives your ride a whole new look that people will stare. They work well the first few weeks after you buy them. They do their job as blocking whatever they have to. Honestly I bought them more for the look not that I...

4.0 out of 5 stars Looks Good / Works well, April 21, 2008

Product looks great. rear fender fits and works great. one downside i found was the quick release collar for the seat post. it works great, but at the same time it will work great being removed by anybody else if you keep your bike locked up. front fender does not fit the fork i currently have, but i had planned to install a new one before i bought the product, so it's not a problem for me. a front brake mounted alternative would be very nice. although the fork i'm planning on has no bosses for brakes other than disc.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast assembly, April 15, 2008

I bought two sets of these, one for my bike and one for the wife's bike. Assembly took a total of less than 10 minutes, including adjusting the rear fender for optimal position.

The flared ends really catch a lot of water and crap that many other fenders might miss. The ends are made from a soft rubberized transparent plastic, which is also pretty cool, they toss small gravel, rocks, water and mud aside pretty efficiently. Assembly and adjustment is performed with a hex wrench, but once you get them on, they stay in place. My previous fender required constant re-adjustment, so it's nice to see someone get the design right.

Installation was a snap. They work as intended.

I ride a 2010 P1 jump bike I also use as a commuter. I picked these up to keep from getting splashed when riding conditions are wet. they are easily removed when I go out to the skate park, hit The jumps, or shred urban (though I leave them on for urban assault when its wet out). I swap them from my P1 to my Rat Rod (which is fenderless) when the wife and I go cruising together after it rains. Though I have not actually tried other products like this I have to say I believe they are amongst the best if not THE best I have seen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Topeak DeFender M1&M2 mountain bike fender set(26" wheels), July 19, 2011

This set of fenders are easily mounted. The front fender comes w/ a removable outer wedge to use on smaller whole opening under the front fork and the rear fender is adjustable. No instructions needed if you're a handy type of person.Well worth the extra money than the cheaper fenders that can become warped in shipping. Sturdy, built to last and not flimsy.

4.0 out of 5 stars So far so good., June 20, 2011

Got these for my full size (26in wheel) folding bike, and so far these work well enough, and I haven't had any issues yet.

The thing I like about them is probably their greatest problem- they install and uninstall very quickly. So, while it is nice to be able to put these on and off real fast when I need to fold my bike, unfortunately it also means that if I leave it chained outside a store someone could take off with the fenders very easily.

The wide, flexible, flared ends make these outstanding fenders. I live in southeast Alaska and we see a lot of rain in the spring and summer. These wide fenders have done well to keep the mud and water off my legs and backside. The only complaint I have is the mounting system. They are simply held on by a common hex-bolt. Sitka is a town of low crime but in an area where this might be an issue, I would suggest replacing these bolts with a less common Torx head (star pattern) bolt. Overall, I would recommend these fenders to anyone who lives in an area of high rainfall.

I would recommend these, and would buy them again. Easy to install, and they seem durable. About the only thing I had to think about for a minute, was the correct expander set-up for the front fender....
I see alot of value here for quality and price.

These two pair of front and rear fenders were my first that I installed on my mountain bike. Let me tell you once you put these fenders on your bike, it gives your ride a whole new look that people will stare. They work well the first few weeks after you buy them. They do their job as blocking whatever they have to. Honestly I bought them more for the look not that I desperately needed them but in some cases I did need them a lot because I get caught in the rain or ride through puddles or mud. But they were always on my bike. Now for me, the first problem started with the front fender, it basically fell off. Yes I did tighten it as much as I could. The problem with that is, it's plastic and the fork is steel, so the grip for it to stay in isn't as good as it should be. What I did to fix that problem was, I added a thick rubber band around the knob, then quickly inserted it into the fork, and tighten it securely. Has not fallen off ever since : As for the rear fender, the plastic doesn't securely hold well just because you tighten the screws very tight. I carried my girlfriend on my bike and without realizing when I was hitting bumps, due to the rear suspension, the wheel came closer and closer to the fender until I finally hit a big bump and back fender rubbed the rear wheel breaking off from the piece attached to the seat. I managed to fix it by adding a few mods to it. I used some screws and a piece of small metal with holes in it to attach fender back to the piece that grabs on to the seat. Though this rear fender was very good it just needs to be tuned correctly especially if you have rear suspension. I also hit the fender accidentally a couple of times with my feet while I got on my bike or off my bike so that weakened it a little. I didn't have the best care for it finally resulting in breaking off completely from the piece that grabs the seat. It's still fixable for me but not worth it so I bought the TOPEAK DEFENDER RX. That fender is much much more sturdy, bigger, and stronger, thicker plastic. Looks way cooler too. So I do feel bad my rear fender didn't last as long as I wanted it to but I still do recommend it people as long as they take good care of it and adjust it right. Don't over tighten it or leave it too lose or it will get low and touch your rear wheel while riding and brake off or result you in an accident. The front fender is still good and I'm currently still using it. Bottom line, these pair of fenders are good, light weight, durable, and can last long if taken good care of. Not gonna say this product sucks because it was my fault they didn't last(Rear fender speaking). Other than that, they are one of the best fenders I've seen and had so try them out!
