I have to take a minute to say that if you ride a bike then you need to buy this portable pump. It's easy to use and built sturdy. It does require
average forearm strength to steady the wheel and pump air into the tire.
My only regret is that it took me this long to research it and buy it.

This is a perfect rescue pump. It will allow you to put approx 60-80 psi in a standard road tube. I have not been able to get more than that. It attaches to your frame and does not really get in your way, although I do feel it brush against my calf from time to time - especially when grinding up a hill.

The pump has a very short stroke, but pumps on both the "in" and the "out" strokes. This is certainly not something I would choose to use on a regular basis. For rescue purposes, it works fine.

Nevertheless, I have found that CO2 is simply easier to carry in my saddle bag to do the same thing. I found a CO2 head that actually has a very small hand pump as well that fits in my saddle bag. This allows you to put a few pounds of pressure in the tube when changing a flat.

In any event, if you need a rescue pump - and don't want to use CO2 - this is the best one I have run across.

Also important - the frame bracket covers the head so no dirt gets in the nozzle.

I have had a lot of pumps over the years and the manufacturing quality on this pump is really good. The action is really really short, but it is strong.
