Well made, good materials.

My point is that I spent so much money to buy a lightweight bike, why would I want to weigh it down with a bunch of crap I may never use.

It's compact, relatively light for the number of tools it has, and as I said, very sexy.

I already own Topeak's Alien II 26-function multi-tool, which is very useful but a little too bulky to take along in my backpack during a ride. I decided to take a look at what other offerings Topeak had, and I came across the Mini-20 Pro. At first I was a little concerned that the price of the Mini-20 Pro was a shade under the price of the Alien II, until I read that the Mini-20 Pro was all-metal in construction (the Alien II has molded parts to go with metal tool tips). However the main factor that made me decide to try the Mini-20 Pro was the size - when folded flat, the Mini-20 Pro was less than half the thickness of the Alien II, and felt like half-the weight as well - while only having 6 less tools compared to the Alien II.

The day after I received the Mini-20 Pro I went for a ride and my brother's chain broke on his mountain bike - a perfect test for the Mini-20 Pro. The chain tool detaches from the main body, and the pin screw tool was precise and strong - there was no play in the tool, allowing me to remove and reinstall a chain pin faster than I expected. I've seen some tools where the chain tool was flimsy and felt cheap - the Mini-20 Pro is not like that, it's high quality and after using it I'd say that it's very reliable too.

All that said, the Mini-20 Pro is a great replacement for my Alien II set, and is very compact to fit inside any pocket or backpack. The tool tips and the unit itself all are high-quality, the chain tool is precise and reliable, and if you're into color coordinating it also comes in a few colors. I now leave the Alien II multi-tool at home on the work stand tray in favor of the Mini-20 Pro. I'd recommend the Mini-20 Pro to anyone who's looking for a small, high quality multi-tool to take along with them on their rides.

I researched a lot of mini-tools before buying the Topeak Mini 20. This product is very compact and sturdy. The entire product is metal, not just the tools, but also the frame and the tire lever. I read reviews of other mini-tools that reported that the plastic tire lever cracked. On some other tools, the frame that holds the tools was plastic and subject to damage.

This tool is much smaller and lighter than tools like the Topeak Alien series that include box wrenches. If you don't need the 8/9/10mm wrenches, the Mini 20 is the best choice.

Topeak says "The metal tire lever is designed for durability and for emergency use only." I recommend carrying a separate set of two full-size tire levers, since two may be needed to remove a tight tire, or carry a Crank Brothers Speed Lever.

One tool that is not included in the Mini 20 is a knife.

I have been using this tools for 3 weeks and I think it is a great tool. I did basic maintenance to my bikes on the trail, and it accomplish the task, tighten some screws, repair a broken chain, a flat tire, etc.
I found it a little uncomfortable when you have to tighten really hard, you will feel all the tools on your fingers and hand. Same for the chain tool.
I recommended for bikers that want a tool with a small size, not heavy and all metal tool.

Like:
All metal made tool. Looks and feels very resistant. It is not a to big or to small tool.

Not like:
The ergonomics: when you have to tighten really hard a screw, you will notice that the tool it is not comfortable at all.
Same for the chain tool, it hurts to work with it. I works well but when you turn the screw, you have to tighten it so hard that you will feel pain in your hand unless you grab it with a cloth or something.

I was mortified when my trusty Topeak Mini 18 fell out of my open bag on an evening commute home, I didn't stop in time to locate it, and it was gone for good. I searched high and low for a suitable replacement, and it became clear that only another Topeak would fit the bill. I was seduced by the sexy looks of the all-silver Mini 20, and it does not disappoint in person. It's compact, relatively light for the number of tools it has, and as I said, very sexy. My only small gripe is the ubiquitous 5mm hex key is just a little difficult to extract from the folded position on this tool. Other than that, I couldn't ask for a better mini bike tool. This has a plethora of tools to get you home from almost any mechanical jam you can think of. Well done, Topeak!

I'm liking this tool a lot. The weight of it is comparable to other multitools with fewer tools. Very compact, but just big enough and comfortable enough in the hand to put real torque on it. My only minor complaint - the two axle bolts holding it together are a bit prone to loosening. There's a tool included to tighten them, but probably better to loctite them.

I also bought this after doing a bunch of research. It has all the tools I need for an emergency repair. It is also very small and compact, negligible really! I also carry a patch kit with three plastic tire levers as well as a Leatherman Skeletool CX. Except for the zombie machete, I figure I will mostly get home every time!
