Fantastic little bike pump,
This review is from: Topeak Speed Master Blaster Bike Pump (Sports)
Comes with an adapter which allows the pump to be used with both Presta and Schrader valves, which is nice. The pump grips valves firmly when in use, the pump arm can be locked so that it doesn't accidentally extend, and the package also comes with a small mounting plate so you can attach it to the frame of your bike. Personally I keep it in my backpack, though, the thing is small and light enough and I know I would forget it on the frame and have it stolen.

This is a great little pump! -Larger than most but smaller than a frame pump, very lightwieght and it won't break your arm to pump up a road tire to 120psi!
Highly reccomended

i like Topeak products and this pump is nice. it inflates my 700x38 ties with ease. its light wieght, comes with a frame mounting holder. one thing though, at least fr my pump, the little tab that covers the opening for the pump head will not stay put, its annoying, i have to wrap a rubber band around it to keep it in place. other than that i like the pump. its about 13.75 inches long in the closed postion and about 24 inches extende. the grip twists to lock and keeps it securelt closed.
update Jan 20, 2012, I mentioned the little tab thats covers the hole of where the valve stem goes wasnt staying put. I had the reversable valve in the schrader position. when I unscrewed the retainer and reversed the insert to presta and replaced the retainer the tab fits perfect and stays put, so im going five star, this is an awesome pump. its kind of long at 13.75 inches closed to take along but it works great.

Exactly what a bike pump should be. Small and out of the way, plus it is built to last. The adapter took me a bit to figure out, which is surprising since I am an engineer and have worked for years as a mechanic. I love how smooth the operation is, regardless of how much pressure is already present in the tire. If you are looking for a bike pump, this will definitely get the job done.

A bit long but the best mini pump I've owned. Attach it to the frame or have very long pockets. An 11 bar model - solid and sturdy - plenty of PSI for Presta valves.

Like many of you, I got this one as an emergency pump for when I'm out having fun on my mountain bike. I think it arrives already set up for the standard valve stem, but I took the adapter out and got myself all confused by reversing it. I see what the other reviewer was saying now! Anyway, it clamps on nice and tight to the valve and the pump action is remarkably easy, even when you get close to full tire pressures. This one is so small that it's sort of toy-like, but don't be deceived. I pumped up my Specialized bicycle off-road tires to the max with this one. Nice. I liked the wisdom of the other reviewer here, who said it would be neat to have on the bike frame (it comes with a mount kit), but that stashing it in a backpack is best, 'cause it will get ripped off. What a world. He's right. This is a nice quality little metal pump. Recommended. Hey, with a can of Slime for emergency repair,....I'm happening. Thanks to the other reviewers who took the time for all of us to leave their feedback. It helped me to make my choice, like always.Happy cruising.

Broke with first use.,

Carried this as an emergency pump and when the emergency came, I was luckily able to put a sufficient amount of air in the tire before the pump broke.
The part that broke was the area of the nozzle that unscrews to switch between presta and schrader valves. It is also the locking mechanism and where the valve seals. The threaded male portion is very thin plastic. I would think this area would be more reenforced due to being the part that attaches to the valve itself. It is not fixable and with a tiny snap, the pump is useless.

I have only had this for a day but after using cheap plastic pumps over the last few years I have to say this pump is great. I needed to inflate two tires that were almost flat and it was so much easier to use than anything I had used before. Since the tires were almost flat it took about a hundred strokes each but the action of the pump was very smooth and it did not take a lot of effort even on the last few strokes.
I did not know the names of the two different types of stem so I was unsure which type I had. Fortunately the package had drawings showing the two types. There were also very good drawings of how to disassemble the tip and change the configuration to fit the other type. This pump works and looks great. If it holds up like it should I will consider this a very good buy. I recommend it.

Item works preety good. Only draw back is that the tube itself gets really hot after pumping up to 125 psi. It seems like it will last. Presta valve compatible. Oh and one last thing. The master blaster letters on the pump itself will wear of compleatly after the first use. They seem to be made from the same scratch substance as a lottery ticket. But works fine 8/1/11 still works like a charm. Save me a couple of times from having to catch a cab.

Quality of the pump is great and its really slim and light. Works great but you better be ready to work if you want to use it frequently. I have a Trek 1000 and with the slim tires loosing air so frequently I might have to pick up a bigger pump.
