This product is great in comparison to the Smarthead version they make. I can't imagine a pump head be able to switch between schrader or presta with out some mechanic change or loss in seal of the valve. Another bike friend of mine recommended me this option and his has yet to fail 5 years and the valve seals are still working great. I highly regard this product as a great alternative to replacement of a great pump that has a faulty schrader valve seal or head problem. Plus, the Twinhead has a great 2 year Topeak warranty against defects and great service. Will most like by another Twinhead as to keep as a back up for my other floor pumps if the schrader valves go bad.

I bought this about 3-4 years ago and put it on my Silca floor pump - it always worked ok but not ideal - a bit of a wrestling match to get it off the valve once things are pumped up. By contrast my Zefal hand pump, with its 90-degree on/off lever, is much easier to put on/off the valve. I've even wrecked a tube at least once trying to get this off the inflated tire.

Anyways, last week it died when my partner over-tightened the yellow lever - you're only supposed to turn it 45 degrees, but there's no physical stopper to prevent you from over-cranking it and wrecking the rubber valve inside. Tried taking it apart, but can't see how to fix it. Anyways now it works on the schrader side, but on the presta side the air just blows out the open shrader hole.

A very nice idea, but not quite up to long-term/fool-proof use.

I had a floor pump with a bad nozzle, and really, I couldn't even conceive of a replacement kit until I stumbled across this. The problem it solves might seem somewhat obscure, but more often than not the problem with pumps tends to be the nozzle or the hose; the seals for inflating the chamber usually last quite some time. The usage is well-documented and clear, and I was up and biking in five minutes.

Works as advertised. Upgrades numerous models -- comes with a bag of adapters for different connections to the pump base. Hose is longer than the original (for my model pump) and can be cut to size.

The hose on my pump had become cracked over the years, as a result it was time to replace it or fix it. This repair kit actually made it better than new. The new hose is loner that the old and therefore easier to use.

After ten or fifteen years, the locking lever on my original broke, so while this wasn't an upgrade, it's good to know that replacement parts are available. I couldn't source the lever alone, but the head and hose unit was reasonably priced. Although primarily used for bicycles, I also use the pump for motorcycle and car tires on occasion. Great line of pumps, and the head never fails to fit and stay locked.

I have acquired several quality pumps over the years and my main problem with any of them has been the hassle at the end of the hose, one chuck works well with Presta, one works good with standard but even though they are all designed to work with both stems, they just don't.
I purchased the Topeak Twinhead and so far, (A couple dozen uses with both Presta and normal stems), it seems to work great, I've used it on hand truck and boat trailer tires and also some very expensive ultralite MTB tubes with Presta stems as well as cruisers and road bikes and it has worked as advertised, so far so good.

I have a Zefal HP Husky floor pump - the presta adapter wore out and the hose would fly off when reaching pressure. I couldn't find any Zefal parts or even a Zefal dealer nearby anymore so I took a chance on this. I was able to connect it using the "C" adapter. There are three adapters and a hose clamp included in the kit, I guess the hose clamp is the last resort to fit it on just about any pump. The head works great, I don't have any trouble pulling it off the valve stem once the yellow lever is released as some reviewers mentioned.
