The Best Of The Topcial Bible Series, October 19, 2000
This review is from: Topical Bible Series: The Pharisees - The Debate Over Tradition [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This may be the best video in the Topical Bible Series. Using footage from The Visual Bible, The Pharisees: The Debate Over Tradition explores the themes of legalism and tradition in matters of faith. This 45 minute segement of the Topical Bible Series is hosted by singer/songwriter Michael Card and features a music video by Card. There is an authentic ring to this program because Card is a Bible scholar and he comes across as a more autoratative host than the other hosts. Also, the topic is a timely one for Christians today. For those that do not have the finacial resources to afford The Visual Bible's Matthew or Acts, the Topical Bible series is a more affordable alternative. The complete Matthew and Acts is still prefered however. For this reason, I rate this video 4 out of 5. I would give it a 4.5 for Card's participation (and yes, I am a fan of Card's work), but there are no .5 options.
