Format: Paperback
Newell uses a cartoon art form that utilizes the same human perception characteristics that allows for optical illusions. Each image in this book presents a specific interpretation, aided by a caption, when viewed and then a different one when inverted. Sometimes it is necessary to stare at the image for a moment in order to see what the caption claims, but eventually it will "appear." Full of light amusement, this book is impressive in the level of thought that Newell had to put into each image in order to obtain his desired result.

I had the original version as a child, and the colors where vibrant and though it was paperback, the cover was sturdy. This version seems more of a xeroxed copy, the colors are dull, and I suspect several of the original pages are not included.
