A must have!,

Whether you listen to Rock, Country, Jazz, Blues or anything in between, this CD is a must have. Wensday connects with your soul, with her sometimes soothing, sometimes piercing vocals.
Combine that with the genius of Dick Wagner's songwriting and it's no wonder I can't stop listening to it. The song "After You" is a love song in the purist sense. A true masterpiece in my opinion. With the state of todays music, it is so refreshing to have such talent hit the scene.

You will want to buy 2 of Wensday's CDs...one to keep in your car to sing along with at top volume...and the other at home to get lost in a musical journey. Her music is like a breath of fresh air. Wensday's voice is amazing - powerful, seductive, warm and compelling --- as you listen, you will get a glimpse into Wensday - the artist, revealing that the beauty flows from her into the music for all of us to share. Definitely check out this album!

Not the cd I'd expect to love,

Really, this is not what I typically listen to. The CD was recommended to me and hasn't left my car since. Female vocalists are not usually my cup of tea, but I have found a song on this cd for any mood I'm in. Highly recommended.

Torch Rock, ROCKS,

I really enjoy this album. Every single song is a well written story and epitomizes a lost art of song writing. This album is wonderful blend of rock, blues, jazz, folk and a little country thrown it. Dick Wagner (producer, guitarist, and co-composer of every song on "Torch Rock") revisits his collaboration with Alice Cooper, "Only Women Bleed" and highlights the plight of women and children in Taliban controlled Afghanistan and what is going on in Darfur.
I would encourage everyone to buy this album and increase Wensday's fan base. In the words of Alice Cooper, "Wensday is the other girl next door."

Torch Rock CD by Wensday,

The CD is as mcuh blues as "torch rock", but Wensday has an excellent voice and the material is mostly new and fun to listen to. I especially like "Bulldog Blues" and her copy of "Only Women Bleed".

This voice!!! There is no voice like this in the music business at the moment. Step aside Christine Aguilera, Britney Spears, Norah Jones, and anyone from the last ten years. Such a brilliant voice coming from this woman. She is by far, the most melodic, and soulful voice to come around in a long, long time. A extremely well produced album by a legendary veteran of rock & roll, Dick Wagner. The songwriting, production, and arrangements, along with an 'A' Class who's who band performing on the album. Wensday is a voice for many generations to come.
You need to have this CD in your collection today!!!

I bought this mainly as a DICK WAGNER fan and have admired most of his work over the years......not sure if this is the same DICK WAGNER......this is cliche riddled crap of the worst order.....no voice can save this horrid material and hers is nothing special to start with.....I thought some cool solos could still save this mess, but if DICK is playing guitar on this, he must have phoned it in while on a bender.....not one memorable riff / solo or melodie is created.....the killing of ONLY WOMEN BLEED is sooooo cringeworthy......could only be used for a few cheap laughs at a party......I hope the real DICK WAGNER will make a comeback sometime......this is so sad for a muso like him

Wensday Rocks With Style And Finesse,

It is not very often that I get drawn to a recording artist, it happened when I first saw Diana Krall perform on Jay Leno.Frequently I browse the Internet to get a feel for individual artists and trends in the music industry, as a critic that is what I should be doing. Now I am old enough to remember Alice Cooper an unforgettable rock star teaming up with gonzo guitarist Dick Wagner and penning a song that nobody from my era will ever forget. It was the moving and touching "Only Women Bleed" and it was a song and a message that even today hits the listener like a brick. So since I clicked on that genre I bring up a video on Wensday doing a cover of "Only Women Bleed". Wensday is not a fresh out of the box recording artist, she has been at it for a few years. The point is that her vocals are good enough and precise enough and right next to the average Joe or Jane and not way above them that I feel with a little more time she could really hit it. I enjoy Arizona Man, Bulldog Blues, After You that connects with music lovers and I do not think she will ever descend to a contestant environment. What is different about her music is that all the selections are marvelous, you will not have to pry out three songs into another device.Basically, Wensday connects with her base and will never in my view descend to a contestant scenario. She is way above that and perhaps if she is agreeable may join the best singer songwriters and musicians and primary vocalists in the business, adult alternative music.Dick Wagner with his outstanding production skills has ensured Wensday and her album Torch Rock will remain a recipient of almost flawless reviewing on the Internet. Count me in as one who is anxious to see Wensday move along toward great success.
