I had to rent a cherry picker to hoist the engine on the stand and fortunately the width of the stand rolled in between the legs of the hoist to make that task a snap. I'm using the stand for a Ford 5.0 H.O. engine out of a 1990 Mustang which weighs about 450 lbs. The stand doesn't deflect at all. The cast wheels roll easy too.
The rotational positioning hole is over-sized (or the pin is under-sized), so the engine slops around. Also two of the engine mounting bolt guides were welded really crooked; had to "hog" them out with a 1/2" bit to get the bolts through them and into the back of the engine block.
Too lightweight for a regular shop that does lots of engines, but OK for occasional use.

Sturdy. In it's collapsed state it likes to roll around too easily. Wish one of the casters were braked.Published 1 month ago by ALCO S6

This is a great stand. I am using it to hold an 87 Mercedes turbo diesel engine while assembling it. There is no sag and it rolls around without any problems.Published 3 months ago by Lee Zook
the box got here today it had three holes in it, it had been in rain, there was parts missing the pin deadlocks the engine was missing 8 inch of the change was missing.Published 3 months ago by David L Tolley
Great stand, fit my motor on with relative ease, only thing wrong with the design is a engine hoist can't get its legs far enough to mate the motor to the stand. Read morePublished 4 months ago by Jared Balazs
This engine stand says 1500lbs capacity. BS. I purchased it for a cummins engine rebuild project I have. The stripped long block is enough to bend this thing. It is not stable. Read morePublished 5 months ago by Matthew Perkins
