This jack is sturdy and works as intended.

Small and compact and doesnt take up too much space in the trunk and yet easy to move around and use when needed.
Terry
Just a bit short on the travel though; barely lifts car high enough to get a jack stand under it.

i used this to help a lady on the side of the interstate a couple of weeks ago (i keep it in the car) - saw someone else use a similar one and thought it was a good idea since it is way quicker than the jack that comes with the car - being in a precarious spot with high speed traffic proved to be the time for a quick jack - it was very fast, had the wheel/tire up in just a few pumps of the handle with little to no effort - however, a slight incline made it difficult until i got the wheels in the right direction, so it isn't for every situation BUT it works great for what it was intended - quality is good (sturdy/kind of heavy) and it's easy to use - good value

After I bought it I found the same thing at walmart and autozone for $22-25. I learned the hard way that while amazon is always cheaper for some things, it's not true for all things.

But the jack worked fine. I bought it to change the oil on my 2006 Volvo s40 and 1997 BMW Z3 1.9L. Of course I used jack stands in addition to this jack but it got the job done as far as lifting is concerned. It gets high enough to get the job done. The release is steady as well you just have to turn it very gently or your car will come down to quick.

It deserves five stars as for $37 shipped with a case this is a steal

It's not really low enough to be used on my Miata MX-5 and had be used on the sub-frame of our Honda CR-V as it would not jack the regular jacking point high enough but that's where I put Jack Stands anyway. With the Miata I'll probably drive one wheel onto a 4x8 piece of wood first, then this jack should fit under ok

If you have a regular car or small SUV you should be fine. The jack works great.

Good quality, tough, heavy jack which is easily set-up and used.
Small enough to carry around but big enough to get the job done.
Along with the Torin Jack Stands, a great pair to get the job done
and stay safe.

I bought this jack to replace one I had that developed an oil leak.
It does have a nice case.
Biggest issue I have with it is that it doesn't have the 'quick lift' feature.
So to get the head of the jack up to the place where it needs to be requires a lot of pumping.
I think I would shop around more if I were doing this over.

Well, this jack is kinda small, to be honest, I thought I had inadvertently ordered the Torin toy jack also available from amazon. My son asked me if I bought him a toy jack like his "papa's" and to be perfectly honest, it will be his pretty soon. The jack it's self is ok at best, yes, it does jack up my wife's SUV, but it's not meant for day in day out use. Before I even used it it had a bit of a twist to it, only 3 wheels touch the ground w/o weight on it. I live in an apartment so I can't have a real floor jack and I only need one from time to time so this works. I'm on the fence with telling others to get this jack, on one hande, it comes in an ok case, is fairly light and is faster then my bottle jack. On the other hand, it's not very rugged, the handles kinda short so it takes more effort to use. If you have space concerns and don't need to use daily this might serve the purpose for you

very small and compact ---easy to store and put in trunk ( or back of van -in my case)the actual head (the area that actually lifts) is taller than i would have liked for a small jack ---will have to see if it is as useful as i hope ( bought this to replace the factory scissor jack that broke) rated for 2 ton should have NO problem lifting my truck ---even if it breaks after 1 use still inexpensive enough to replace

I've had this product for 5+ years. Now I need another one for my son hence this visit. The jack that comes with most cars today are scissor jacks. These are slow and can endanger your butt on the side of a highway whilst cars zip by you. I've only had to use this once for a flat. I have a metric cross wrench (looks like a cross)that allows the wheel lug nuts to spin off and on fast. When I got my flat I was able to change the tire in well under 5 minutes. It is a great product. I cut a piece of plywood that fits it just so in case I have to jack a car up on grass/soft ground. If you need more lift height make it from plywood. This kind of jack is not for constant service it is meant for infrquent useage. For that get the heavier floor jack.
