This table is a good value. I don't doubt the 1000lb rating, it's a very sturdy unit. The top is made of a heavy gauge steel that allows you to mount a vise (it isn't pre-drilled for one). The drawer guides and lock are very cheaply made, and actually took some adjustment once assembled in order for the drawer to open smoothly. The paint chipped off of the leg fairly easily during assembly, as they did not provide enough flat washers for the hardware.
