Good game,
A Kid's Review
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Torino 2006 (Video Game)
Its is a great game. The only thing they left out is ice hockey and snowboarding, but how many other hockey and snowboarding games are there. The downhill skiing is my favorite. and true like the other guy said most people dont think its a great game, but its all realistic. I mean what do you want the bobsled to do, fly? The graphics are great, when you hit an alpine flag it bends over. (on winter olympics 2002 you go right through them. The only downside I realy found is that you cant choose your person. Such as in speed skating its all wemons and if there was mens they would just have some defaulft person not Apollo Ohono. Same with alpine skiing you'd think they'd have Bode Miller. But overall its a great game.

I bought this game after getting caught up in the hype of the beginning of the games, and it was cheaper ($20) than one of the hats ($30-$35). After initially taking some time to load (most likely due to my system, although it never happened on any other game, silver or blue-backed), the intro/event selection/first time entertainment value was okay.I agree, the game is simple. I struggled through the first fifteen event challenge b/c I didn't read the instructions for each event, but by the second run, I got gold, and had little desire to continue on at harder levels. For someone in their mid-twenties on a tight budget, the game was a useful way to bridge a lackluster Sunday afternoon, but will most likely keep a nice spot in the back of the entertainment center for some time to come. Hopefully, 2010 will be somewhat better, but again, what more do you expect for the $20 tag. My advice would be to rent this until after the closing ceremonies, let the effect die, and return....or, if you want a cheap means for competition among other players, than go for it! Good luck, go Team USA!

My children, cousins, and friends had a great time trying the downhill, ski jump, and speedskating, etc, just like the Olympians! The graphics were good and the kids had fun competing against each other.
