4.0 out of 5 stars Tornado Cordless Blower
Not heavy duty but works well. Case is quite thin and bottom grip breaks easily, but works well without it.

If you look hard, you can find a higher capacity battery (9AH instead of 7AH) that has the same case dimensions. You will have to pop the top off the outer battery case to get to the battery itself. I have 2 and used this replacement in both for longer...

5.0 out of 5 stars Toro Cordless Leaf Blower--A+ Rating from me!!!, December 14, 2008
This review is from: Cordless Leaf Blower
This leaf blower is wonderful. Most of the cordless brands do not stay charged very long at all. However, this one can be used on a full charge for 30 to 35 minutes, which is so much better.
It's lightweight and easy to use. I even recommended it to my friend, and she purchased one immediately.
Great for small jobs, blowing leaves off sidewalk, etc., or using outside for sweeping instead of using a broom.
I highly recommend it for anyone, and I give it a five star rating!

4.0 out of 5 stars cordless leaf blower, May 31, 2009

I had my doubts about this product, as it was inexpensive, and actually looks it. I have only had the opportunity to use this item once, thus far, but it far outperforms my old Black and Decker cordless for time and velocity. Only drawbacks are that the directions for assembly were quite poor - lucky for me, I have had cordless blowers in the past - and there was no hanger.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight/Battery life poor, September 25, 2009

I was quite happy when I purchased this. I like the fact that I can just pick it up and go. No plugs or gas pull chains to worry about and nice and light(although it is mostly plastic). Don't expect to blow large areas or heavy leaves, it's not that strong. I like to use it for quick cleanup on patio/garage or grass clippings. You will get up to maybe 30 minutes use on battery before it needs recharging. My only problem is the battery only lasted about a year and it will no longer charge anymore and I don't know where I can purchase a new battery. I contacted Heartland for a replacement battery, but they don't sell them? and since I only paid about $49.00 for the product I not sure if a battery replacement would be cost effective since they can cost just as much or more. Overall though, I did like the blower and have been missing the fact that I can't use it until I get a new battery.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointment, December 18, 2011
This review is from: Cordless Leaf Blower
I have had cordless weedeaters and they worked well, but this cordless blower is a piece of junk. It works no better than the Black and Decker one that I bought years ago. Both are useless. All I want to do is blow the leaves off of my patio without getting out the electric blower. These cordless blowers do not work. Do not waste your money on them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it love it love it, December 21, 2010

I always used the gas blower my Daddy has and can't stand having to fight with pulling the cord, or the cord would break or the fuel line needs to be replaced. So I bought this from Heartland and charged per directions, the first use lasted 30 min, then I keep it on the charge so it's ready when I am, and it runs longer than I do. I blow leaves and branches off my long gravel drive and I have to stop and take a break, I'm tired, I put it back on the charger and when I'm ready about 30 min later I go again and finish the walk way, porch, around the back yard and I'm done, it's lighter and I recommend it highly. Now I've ordered the cordless chain saw for the same reason, I don't want to deal with the cost of fuel, the rope or the fuel line. I pray it works as good or better, a single Mom and I do it all myself and I have lots of small and medium trees and branches to cut and to trim back. Can't wait to get it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Does not stack up to the Black and Decker, September 25, 2009

I purchased this to replace a broken Black and Decker hard surface sweeper. Very disappointed in the product. It takes almost twice the amount of time to clear the same surface area with the Tornado version. The Tornado unit just does not produce the same volume of air, perhaps the same speed as the B&D, but certainly not the same result. Two thumbs down. I'm looking to purchase a new B&D unit soon.

1.0 out of 5 stars junk - bad construction and doesn't move leaves!!, September 1, 2010
This review is from: Cordless Leaf Blower
This thing doesn't have enough power to blow leaves off anything but maybe hard surfaces. Maybe. Its very weak, poorly constructed, junk.

It stopped working, I looked at the battery, some wire has come off, and I'm not in the mood to fix it because even when it wasn't broken, it didn't work.

Don't waste your money on this thing.
