First of all, I can't believe the customer before me gave this one star. His criteria is a joke. This is really what prompted my review. Yes, I have seen two different models of the 12ft nozzle, but they really don't differ that much. One model has the color on top so it is visible even when the sprinklers are off, and the other model must be on or lifted slightly in order to see the colored nozzel. Is it really that hard to remember which nozzle needed to be changed a minute after the sprinklers have turned off? I still can't believe the first review. For anyone looking for this specific model, please do not hesitate to order. It functions 100% as it was designed to.

Couldn't find any Toro sprinkler parts or equipment in my local Home Depot (where I originally purchased), Lowes, Ace or any other retailers. I did not want to change entire sprinkler heads for just a nozzle, so as a final resort went to Amazon. (BTY the sales rep at Home Depot told me that Toro no longer made sprinkler equipment) Found it in 10 minutes on Amazon.

The part does exactly what it is supposed. Easily installed in just a couple of minutes. This adjustable nozzle is perfect for any type of unique or intricate landscape layout. I am going to switch all of my standard nozzles over to this adjustable type.

These fit the Toro 570 system, not going to work with other brands of sprinklers -- that's fine. What is a p.i.t.a. is how hard these are to twist open for the actual spray! Not all of the Toro heads are so impossible, because I did get a couple of 10' heads locally, and they twisted open with just a bit of elbow grease -- but the 12' and 15' ones from the Amazon supplier actually required a vise-grip and pliers and two screwdrivers to loosen the top of the sprayer head enough to be able to open and then set the spray arc. No way I could have done it once it was on the sprinkler riser -- fortunately I learned after the first one to do it before installing -- loosen the center slot-head screw a couple turns, then grab the solid black part with the vise-grip, and with a rubberized glove (or on some it took pliers) twist the colored part of the head to the right to open it up.

I don't remember this problem when I used Toro a few years back, and like I say, the two I found at Home Depot twisted open -- took some force, but doable by hand. These others better loosen up with use, or I'll be very irritated when I go out to fine-tune or change angles in my garden depending on seasonal crops, etc.

I always buy the adjustable ones rather than the ones with a set direction since you can adjust the spray pattern for any area you are putting them in.

Just what I needed. Home depot has stopped carrying Toro due to toro's prices being to high. Home depot was able to get better prices (cheaper more profit for them) for rainbird and orbit. In my opinion Toro is better quality than those two.
Prices are a little bit more for Toro but they last longer.

Works as designed. Just what I needed for the coverage designed. I would recommend this product to others vs Orbit.

Lack of complete instructions was the only thing which kept this from a 5-star rating. No description of the purpose of the small grey part ( which seems to interfere with adjusting the spray and I omitted) nor how to tell which way the spray is oriented when you first install the head. After quite a bit of trial and error, I got it adjusted just as I wanted and I definitely like being able to control both radius (distance) and arc.

Fit right in to replace a broken sprinkler head. It's fully adjustable, which I was having trouble finding at my local hardware stores. The only minor complaint is that the coloring is reversed, so that the green is hidden when the sprinkler is retracted. It's not an issue for me, since almost all of my heads are the same.
