When the zipper on the original bag failed, I noted that it was poorly designed and of inferior workmanship. However, I did not want to pitch the blower/vac, which is an excellent machine. I did pitch the bag. Big mistake, since nowhere was I informed that I would need the collar from the old bag when I purchased a replacement. Now I have to order a replacement collar from the manufacturer--or to be more accurate the American front for a Chinese manufacturer--and pay a big shipping charge. SAVE THE COLLAR!

"Misplaced" the original bag that came with the blower/vac and couldn't find a replacement in the neighborhood big-box hardware stores, so decided to order from Amazon. Slightly disappointed that the description doesn't mentaion that it's not exactly like the original. This replacement bag does not have the snap-on attachment that connects to the vac. Instead, there's a cheap plastic tie (similar to those used in electrical work) that you adjust to your vac's size. just becareful not to over tighten or you'll have to replace the tie.

I didn't buy this, but after some research I thought I would pass on that Toro part #108-8994 has the the plastic connector tube with the bag all as one piece. It is called a "bag assembly". This part I am talking about has both the plastic connector tube and the bag. I got mine at a local Toro dealer or you can google the part number.

What can I say its a vac bag its the same as the original, the zip was the item that broke on mine and it has NOT been improved on this one I purchased so we'll see. The inlet port hole now has a tie instead of my velco.

It is a decent replacement, except for how the bag connects to the vacuum. The old model used a velcro strap, which I found simple to use. This model uses a plastic wire wrap instead. It didn't work well at all. Instead, I picked up a pipe clamp from a hardware store to secure it on instead. Works better.

It's a well made original product that fits models 51598,51591,51587, 51573, 51553, 51549, and 51539.

If your model isn't listed; don't buy it.

The Toro Comapny needs to put better zippers in the Toro Bags. They are very weak and blow out and break in one season forcing you to buy another bag. I bought this bag and removed the zipper and went to a Piece Good Store and bought a Industrial Zipper and had it sewn in. The bag has now held up several seasons. Consider it a throw away bag at a big expense. Toro you need to improve the zipper, this bag is trash. Hope your listening.

I had the leaf vacuum for about a year (bought it at Home Depot I think) before the bag ripped next to the zipper. At first, I was worried that I would have to replace the whole vacuum and then I found the replacement bags on Amazon. The bags are easy to remove and install. Just wish the first one had lasted a bit longer.

I have an old Craftsman blower, mulcher, vac. This Toro bag worked
perfectly without any modification. Is a more functional and better built bag
than the one that came with the Craftsman.

PEOPLE PLEASE SAVE THE COLLAR FROM THE OLD BAG. I CUT OFF THE PLASTIC COLLAR VERY CAREFULLY AND SAVED IT...WHEN MY NEW BAG CAME IN, IT FIT PERFECTLY.JUST FASTEN THE TIE AND WALA..PERFECT..THANK U BAGMAN FOR THE ADVICE..
