2.0 out of 5 stars Programming?, May 5, 2008
I bought a house with one of these recently and this Toro timer makes me crazy. It is just plain needlessly difficult to program.

Programming a sprinkler system should not be a big deal, but every time I want to modify a program, I have to bust out the owner's manual and figure it all out all over again.

One little gem with the programming (there are many) is when scrolling through the 24 hour clock, it starts out at an absurd snail's pace. Then all of a sudden it takes off at an absurd warp speed, zipping through the 24 hour cycles about 3 times per second!

This thing is just plain idiotic and I can't wait to replace it. Basically, this thing's primary task is to allow the user to program watering schedules and it fails miserably at the task. I can install & program much more complicated home theater systems without any problems, but this thing is just plain difficult.
