How this book took me back!I was born in Torrance and worked in records dept. for the Torrance Police Department in the late 70's. What great memories of the finest police department and the greatest city to be raised in. As a child I remember when the police department was on Post and I would try to look in the windows as we passed by, it seemed like a very mysterious place. That was long ago and now I am far away but this book brought back memories of officers who would have been an asset to any city. We were just incredibly privilieged to have them in Torrance. Thank you for a trip back in time. It was well worth the fare.

Excellant typical of Arcadia Publishing. Good comprehensive look at Torrance Police Department's past and present. Small enough department where if you were a past member, there is bound to be someone you will find within the pages of this book!

Excellent compendium of TPD History and photos... Impossible to include everyone but missed a number of really good guys who will be purchasing this history.
