This story is filled with action and adventure. I was on the edge of my seat with the turn of every page. Gone are the days of the damsel in distress with this strong female character. Pirates, mermaids, hot mermen with glistening chests and a descriptive world of magic kept me mesmerized.

I loved this book! It had it all: Scurvy, rough-talking pirates, Black Magic, and some pretty erotic encounters between mermaids and mermen. This was an action-packed book - the author has an amazing imagination and a gift for dialogue. I managed to pick up a lot of cool pirate lingo along the way! There's also a great short story by the same author called "Le Cirque De Magie" that I really enjoyed - it's a Circus based fantasy. My only complaint was that she didn't turn it into a novel! I didn't want it to end!

Excellent scenery, wonderfully powerful scenes...these are only the beginning of how this book will move you. And talk about star-crossed lovers! There can be none more mis-matched than Ciel and Alvaro. Will they find a way? Oh, will they ever! Pick up this book for its amazing cover art, and get lost on the high seas. You won't be disappointed!
