Toshiba's 19-inch 19A24 color CRT television offers great picture quality and several convenient features at an affordable price. Toshiba used its Blackstripe II picture tube in the 19A24, which delivers a superior picture in a more portable and practical small cabinet. The curved high-contrast tube has a 4:3 aspect ratio, better for viewing analog broadcast TV and pan-and-scan-formatted video at a resolution of 480i (interlaced).
A perfect TV for parents, the 19A24 has a V-chip control system to easily limit the types of programs their children are watching. A channel lock keeps children from viewing possibly inappropriate channels and a video lock prevents viewing of sources connected to selected inputs like a VCR or DVD player. And if you have a gamer in the family, a GameTimer feature lets parents regulate video game time in 10 minute intervals up to 180 minutes. A front-panel A/V input handles quick connection of video game systems or other electronic devices, so there's no need to go searching in back of the set for the right input.
A Glow TV remote gives you command over all of the most important tuning features for the set in low-light situations. An RF connector is ready for attaching to a VHF/UHF antenna or cable. It even has channel return and noise muting. A 181-channel NTSC tuner provides access to all channels on unscrambled cable systems. The built-in, 1.5-watt, front-firing speaker system gives you clean, unobstructed mono sound. A front-panel headphone jack allows for individual listening privacy.
