5.0 out of 5 stars 19LV505
I bought this TV for my RV. It has exceeded my expectations. Excellent color and contrast with easy setup. The unit is light and portable.
When the RV season is over this TV goes in the bed room of our house.
The DVD built in with the DviX makes this unit Ideal for any small room.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Completely Satisfied
The picture quality on this TV is excellent. I am currently on analog with substandard cable and a splitter in the attic (older house) and it still shows a nice picture HOWEVER the sound quality is not good. It is very disappointing. It takes the points away from the very nice picture. I have to turn the sound all the way up (100%) sometimes just to hear it good...

The picture quality on this TV is excellent. I am currently on analog with substandard cable and a splitter in the attic (older house) and it still shows a nice picture HOWEVER the sound quality is not good. It is very disappointing. It takes the points away from the very nice picture. I have to turn the sound all the way up (100%) sometimes just to hear it good. I've never had to turn the sound all the way up on any TV. I am sensitive to sound. I'm usually turning sound down on TV's. I even mute commercials because I don't want to hear the sound. The sound I do hear is "tinny". I've played with the bass and treble and balance on the menu but it's still not what I feel it should be. I have cheaper brand TV's where the sound is much better. I'm so disappointed because I have a 37" Toshiba LCD TV in the living room and the sound on that one is fine. Don't know what happened here. I've considered returning it but I already threw the box away. I should have waited.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great TV, May 14, 2008
By
We just bought this tv and we think it is great. The picture is very good for the analog channels as well as dvd. I tried using Divx dvd's and they worked great. I thought the audio wouldn't be strong enough but once I tried it out in the bedroom it was more than sufficient at 60% max volume.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great 19 inch combo LCD-DVD, June 4, 2008

Have been looking to upgrade a kitchen set and add the DVD player all in one shot. Reviewed and looked at a number of sets from all the usual suspects. This one got the selection due to price, features, name and quality (have 32" "tube" TV and DVD player that are Toshiba as well as past laptops). Ordered on a Wednesday received on Friday (Supersaver is superfast!). We have enjoyed it so much we end up watching more TV in the kitchen then ever. DVD player is great and the whole setup was so easy. Our basic cable included 15 HD channels that the tuner picked up immediately and we were watching our first at home HDTV shows and concerts (love HDNet) right away. This will push me into a larger set in the living room a lot faster than I thought as the difference in picture quality is so much better that all I want to watch is stuff that comes in HD. Oh well X-mas is right around the corner. Picture quality, as you might guess is great, ease of operation has been no problem for this babby boomer. Just a great 19 inch combo that fills the bill on what you would want out of a 19 inch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceeded Expectations, June 28, 2008

Looks great. Has much better picture than comparable home brands of same size from Best Buy, etc. Replaces a bedroom 13" CRT w/VHS player. Brings in off-the-air analog and digital signals just fine. DVD picture quality is great, too. I've read other reviews which said sound quality was sub-par, but we think it's fine for our purposes. I'd recommend it to a friend.

1.0 out of 5 stars Would have been great but for low sound output, July 25, 2008

We bought this TV/DVD combo for use in a motorhome - it looked like a good solution for us. The picture and build quality were great but the sound level was very low, especially when playing a DVD. In an RV there is usually ambient noise from the A/C and kitchen appliances - these totally overwhealm the TV sound, even at it's highest setting. It is surprising that Toshiba would put so much work into a high quality product then get the sound system wrong. It would probably be fine in a small, quiet office but it didn't work for us.

3.0 out of 5 stars Toshiba 19LV505 - Poor Audio, September 29, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The picture is good, the DVD player is a nice feature (especially with kids) but the sound is horrible. We have it in our basement where we run on a treadmill and, with the treadmill going, you can't hear any sound (even with the volume at its maximum level).

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad for something that would be rarely watched, October 3, 2008

This is an OK set, but the tuning is slow. If you are a cable or sattelite user and leave it sit on the same channel/input, then this will not be a problem. The audio is OK. Picture quality is OK as well. Nothing like the picture/sound quality of some of the more noted brands like Sony or Samsung, but if you get it for a good price, then it maybe a nice TV for your get-away hous, a child's, guest room, etc. I just wouldn't recommend it if you wanted to watch it as your primary TV.

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware, May 21, 2009
I accepted the low volume output from this set but when it refused to eject dvds I was fed up. It had to be mailed(AT MY EXPENSE) across country for WARRANTY service. I think Toshiba wants you to give up and not repair it, thus avoiding the trouble of fixing it. I am so disappointed with this product.
