WOW!,

This review is from: Toshiba 24AF41 24" Pure Flat TV (Electronics)
This TV rocks! The picture quality is outstanding for DVD's and even regular old Cable TV. I've only been using the S-Video input upto this point for DVD, and the picture is terrific, can't wait to get the color stream hooked up. The sound is very solid, there are several sound variables that you can adjust to your liking. I generally run sound through my stereo though. I compared this unit with it's Sony counterpart in the store and was blown away by how much better this unit was... you actually get more for your money with the Toshiba. You really have to see it to believe it. It is a very good looking too, it looks cool, when it's not even on!

Great TV,

I purchased this TV in July 2001. I entered the store thinking that the flat screen TV's were overpriced and not worth the extra money. I intended to buy a 27 inch TV. However, after looking at the difference in picture quality between the standard sets and the flat screen, I was easily swayed to the flat screen. I also considered the Sony, but the Toshiba had the best picture quality out of the four brands offering flat screen pictures. I compromised and purchased a smaller flat screen television (24") because of the price. I am very pleased with this set and have received numerous compliments from my friends who have come over to watch TV and DVD's.

Pure Flat television,

Pros: This TV has an excellent picture and sound. It has sufficient connections for satellite, DVD, and VCR. I have one in the bedroom and now find it boring to look at the other TV in the family room. It has a higher volume than the rest of the TV's in the house. Cons: Instruction booklet is not too great, it specifies how to connect a DVD/VCR, but not how to connect just a DVD. It turns in to a guessing game since it is not specific.

Its better than the Sony and much cheaper. The picture is excellent and once you connect the DVD, its amazing. Sound is good but a little better speakers would have been good. Bottom line best value for your money compared to all other manufacturers. Remote is preety good too.

After 18 years with our faithful 20-inch Mitsubishi (beautiful color control, multiple hook-ups available in the back, etc) we were afraid we could not find a tv similar. Wrong. Based only on the feedback reviews from amazon.com and ratings from Consumer Reports, we bought the 24-inch Toshiba. It is everything our old Mitsubishi was and more. The control of color and sharpness and detail are superb; there are the same multiple connections (plus the 'S' connection which we never had); and a remote that controls not only the tv but our old cable box and the Sony recorder. If it lasts half as long as our old tv, we'll be happy.

When i walked into the store , i had in mind buying the 24" Sony FD Trinitron WEGA™ TV , without knowing much about tvs , i was just going to get that TV because of the brand . Well now i have this one , and to be honest , ist not bad at all , very sharp image , cool remote control , the only thing i didnt like bout it was the sound , it has the BBE system that its supposed to make a good "enveloping" feeling , and it does it but it gets bad when u turn it all the way up , i am a music maniac , and i know bout sound quality , and this sound its not the best at its maximun level. Lets say , if u wanna show off , get the sony , cause it has more sound power , and Sony its Sony , but if you wanna get the most out of ur hard earned pennies , go for the Toshiba. (it even has the component video) BOTTOM LINE , if u wanna be shaked by the sound quality , consider investing in a home teather system. Cause the image quality its pretty good.

i love the cabinet of this tv, its very trendy.Other people complain about the sound but i think the sound is pretty good and i'm a music lover. The only problem that i have with this tv is that when ever a graphic is shown ,i.e. a box, the lines around the box are a little distorted.Overall its a pretty good tv for the price.

Perfect Fit, Perfect Picture,

This was one of the very few quality televisions around 25" that would fit in my small in-wall entertainment center, which is the primary reason I chose it. The picture is outstanding on both DSS (S-Video) and DVD (colorstream component). I absolutely don't regret it! Only small drawback is that sound quality is less than that of some comparible televisions, but still good enough.

Impressive TV -- good altern. to Sony WEGA,
By A Customer
This review is from: Toshiba 24AF41 24" Pure Flat TV (Electronics)
As many others, I started looking at the Flat Screen Sony WEGA. It is a great looking TV but the 24" model doesn't have all the connections on the back that it should. I found the Toshiba 24" Flat Screen at a local store (...) and was impressed. (...) I have the Toshiba hooked up to my DirecTV and the picture is very good. |
