I havbe no problem with owning this item. It's exactly what I needed when I bought it. It has been on almost continually since I set it up and done exactly what it is supposed to do. It has a bright, clear, and clean picture. The stereo sound is good. The DVD player works without hesitation and in alll honesty, I cannot tell you that I have any regrets in the purchase of this item. If I must list any complaint about it, it would be that the sound volume on some channels that I view appears to be lower than others. I seriously doubt that it's the cause of anything to do with the television receiver as opposed to the cable company's failure to check their sending levels. The channel changer may appear to be somewhat slow in changing channels, but even that is negligable. When you consider the overall operation of this device, I cannot say to anyone "do not buy it". The price was good, the operation is excellent and I am currently seriously considering buying another one exactly like it to put in my bedroom. It's a good item...well made and I don't believe that you will regret it.

The Toshiba 26 inch tv was easy to set up and is a nice looking tv. The picture is good if you are directly in front of the tv. However, if you are off to the sides, or below the direct line of sight the picture quality is diminished noticeably. I would not recommend it for viewing in a room where you have multiple viewers.

I bought this television for a guest room. I also purchased a tilting/swiveling wall mount and hung the TV about 5' up the wall. I can't comment on the viewing angle issue others have noted since I can adjust it to be dead straight from any viewing position. Apart from that, the set works flawlessly, is relatively lightweight, and the DVD player is easy to use. The picture quality is fair, not fantastic - but more than acceptable for this price point.

This TV has proven to be ideal for my needs and I'm satisfied with what I got for what I paid.

Nice TV clear picture. It actually looks bigger than 26". My daughter will be purchasing one soon. I'm truly happy with my choice.

Purchased this television, only to discover that like a lap top computer if the angle of the television is above you, the screen image is not visible....In addition, the automatic dimming function gradually turns the picture darker and darker, until nothing is visible at all and the screen looks like an old fashioned negative. There is no way to de-activate the automatic dimming function. Plus if you are space challenged, the DVD is a side load item. I was extremely disappointed and returned it. Moral of the story, don't rely on a single review. Google the item in question and do some deeper research.....

I am not sure if it was a design flaw or manufacturing flaw but unless you were looking straight on or slightly down at this TV, it would appear extremely dark and nearly impossible to watch even with brightness maxed out. Considering that most people now put these on the wall or elevated positions, it seems to be a major issue. When I called customer service the agent said there is nothing that can be done and it is a common complaint. It is like the screen is installed upside down. I stood above it and looked down on it and the picture was fine the problem is only when you are below or slightly below tv which makes no sense to me. If it is placed at a standard height and you are sitting down it will have the problem. In my case it was on a dresser and unusable at even that slight elevation.

Amazon was great about the return. We exchanged it for an LG (no dvd integrated) and love it.

The two day shipping was free but it took a week. The tv was light and easy to carry. Set up only took 5 minutes and it is a great picture and nice looking in my bedroom.
