You don't have to sacrifice quality when opting for an affordable big-screen TV. Toshiba's feature-packed 32A32 offers vivid, high-contrast pictures from Toshiba's 32-inch FST Black picture tube while giving you digital comb filtering, MTS stereo, and an array of audio-video inputs.

The set's FST Black picture tube offers a flatter screen than Toshiba's popular Blackstripe tube, one that further reduces ambient light reflections and provides finer dot pitch and increased resolution. This tube increases the screen's viewing angle and improves linearity over standard tubes. A black-level expander improves contrast even more to ensure a theater-like picture. The 32A32's digital comb filter further enhances resolution by removing blurred edges between colors and reducing dot crawl (tiny, moving dots of color along a sharp color separation in a vertical line, as in a depiction of a character's striped T-shirt). The set offers stereo reception (with 5 watts per channel) and SAP (second audio program), which is often used to broadcast an alternate-language track.

A ColorStream component-video input provides the ultimate picture quality from interlaced component-video signals; standard composite-video inputs accommodate all DVD players and most other video sources. You get two sets of rear AV inputs (one with S-video) as well as one set of front AV inputs for easy connection with a camcorder or gaming console. A rear AV output lets you hook the set up with a surround receiver.

The 32A32 also features color-temperature control, V-chip parental controls, a sleep timer, and a glow-in-the-dark remote control that controls most manufacturers' VCRs in addition to the 32A32.

After some research I plan to buy this TV - has the features I want, without a big price tag. And it is important to me that it has no speakers on the side like all the rest - this one will fit in my entertainment center while the others won't. But I believe the description Amazon[.com] has is wrong - if you go to the Toshiba web site and pull up the product page for the model 32A32 - it does not say anything about front video inputs, nor can any be seen in the photo, or in the store when I looked at it. Not a big deal to me, I'll hook a short set of cords on the back to make it more convenient for the kid to plug in his Gamecube - but the lack of them might make for some unhappy folks.

I just recieved my TV today and I'm already in love with it! It has plenty of hook ups for anything you want. It has a crystal clear screen. I've actually never written a review of a product before but considering this tv was such a great buy for a small home theater system I thought I should get on here and recommend this to everyone else!
