So I helped my friend shop for a 37 inch tv for her living room and steered her toward the Toshiba, since I have the 32 inch version. It's got good blacks, better than everage. Excellent whites, as most LCD'S have. Handles motion very well despite not having 120 refresh rate. Does a good job with 3:2 pulldown and 24fps, although you have to turn that feature on, which is the cinema mode turned to film. Viewing angle isn't too great, but then again no lcd is. Once you get 14 degrees off-axis you lose 50% of the picture's contrast. Reflections aren't too bad with this Toshiba. Color accuracy isn't too bad but there is a green push which picture menu allows you to correct. The audio is also very very good, except you get a little vibration with certain dialog with the bass turned all the way up. The remote is excellent and is very user friendly. The menu system is very simple and easy to navigate. Overall, this is a great value. Sure you will get a better tv with either the Samsung or the Sony, but you will pay more. It does outperform the LG,Sharp, and the Panny in most areas. At the price you can grab this for it's hard to turn down. Here are calibrated settings for this tv.

The quality of this TV has exceeded our expectations. Picture and sound are fantastic! We originally purchased this TV exclusively for gaming in our loft. We are so pleased with it that we are now actually finding ourselves in there for movies and football. There are so many hookups in the back that we are able to leave the game box, DVD player and satellite box all hooked up at the same time - so no annoying changing out boxes depending on the activity. The 37" is a perfect size for a smaller room like a loft, we find it is substantial enough without completely overwhelming the space.

I am happy with the TV. Got it for the bedroom & is installed on wall using Peerless PA740 articulating wall mount. The picture quality, after some fine tuning is very good. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rank it at a "7" when compared to my 50" Panny plasma that would rate at a "9".

The TV was delivered on time but the outer box had a 4" hole with the popcorn packing visible. Luckily the TV was double boxed & the original inner box was not damaged. I made sure of this before signing off on the delivery confirmation.

Make sure you buy a warranty when you buy this product. My TV broke after 9 months of use which was within the 1 yr time frame of the original warranty so Toshiba fixed it. They had to replace the LCD panel. Eight months later, the LCD panel is broken again. I purchased a 5 year warranty with this product, but the store decided it was not economical to repair so they're replacing my broken TV with something refurbished. I think it's fair to say I'm not happy with this product.

Amazing tv...easy to use if you're amateur like me in tech stuff. i plugged my xbox, my sound system and my pc , everything worked great, the only thing is not so good is the sound, but dont even consider this if your planning to buy it, just hook it to a stereo or home theater and done!!

So far the Toshiba has been a fair purchase. The pros are the picture quality, the remote control and the ease of switching from mode to mode. The biggest drawback is its inability to pick up the signal on most channels from my digital antennae. I still have to use the converter box to get all the channels to show on the television. My LG television does not need the converter box. Without the box I get only one station.

Excellent buy for the money. Replaced a Sony Bravia 32" that lasted just 2 years. My wife has a Toshiba 26" LCD we purchased over 2 years ago. Purchased TV thru Amazon and was shipped from Tiger Direct. Excellent service from both. TV is a perfect fit for my bedroom. Picture quality is great.

The day after Christmas my old Toshiba started to get a little funny. Well, it was time to get another one. I had had it for years too long to remember. I bought another Toshiba for my bedroom the year before because of the quality and service it gave me. Since HD is the "in" to have I bought it and was impressed. So now I go for HD on this model and again I was impressed with the picture. Since it was going into a small room I didn't want to get anything to big. However, maybe just a few inches larger would have been nice I am not complaining. I basically use it for movies and it is like being at the movies but on a much smaller scale. The sound is good for those movies where you don't need lots of sound effects. I have components hooked up for those when needed. It's a good looking set and was easy to set up and get started. The picture is wonderful. Bright, clear and detailed.

I bought this TV directly from TigerDirect (not through Amazon), but Amazon influenced my decision and just went for direct buy.
Once I turned it on, I noticed it is barely warm, not HOT as I used to with my older AKAI LCD TV. Talk green!
Controls are adequate and picture quality is good in terms of default settings.
Adjusting it with recommendations from Michael D'innocenzio made it better.
I like the color and saturation, where colors are natural (e.g. not "screaming").
I use it as a TV for media-center, so it goes with DVDs and my WD TV Live.
It performs 100% of my expectations.
Price was great!
