Video Features
In addition to being HDTV-ready--fully able to appreciate incoming digital signals--this set includes IDSC (Intelligent Digital Scan Conversion), which produces a high-end progressive scan picture with artificial intelligence that helps avoid artifacts and jagged lines caused by motion. IDSC also includes Advanced Video Noise Reduction, which virtually eliminates picture "snow." The set is built with Toshiba's Powerfocus Optic System, a high-quality, four-element lens system designed to maximize both sharpness and brightness, as well as TouchFocus, for easy returns to sharp, accurate focus from corner to corner of the screen. Adding to your home theater experience, the set's Cinema Mode more accurately reproduces in DVDs the film's original 24-frame material (television signals reproduce images at a faster but often incompatible frame rate), eliminating the possibility of other errors or artifacts caused by simply doubling the signal, as with conventional televisions.

Audio Features
This set features SRS (Sound Retrieval System) Surround Sound. Touted by Toshiba as the leading 3D Sound technology worldwide, it essentially retrieves and restores to its original depth the sound data from any stereo recording, resulting in sound that is much closer to that of a live performance. The 65H81 also sports MTS Stereo with SAP (second language decoding) and SBS (Sub Bass System), which provides a noticeable boost to the unit's low frequency. Connections include two sets of ColorStream HD component video inputs, two rear A/V inputs, two rear S-video inputs, two RF inputs, front panel A/V/S inputs, one center channel audio input, one A/V output, and one variable audio output.

Other Features
This set includes dual tuner picture-in-picture, so you can watch one program while monitoring another, a backlit universal remote, and two-level mute.

This widescreen 61-inch high-definition projection television is ready for the future, today. Dual Colorstream HD component-video inputs render high-resolution images from HD digital decoders or DVD players (at 540p or 1080i), and the set features a film-detection mode with true 3:2 pull down, a 160-degree horizontal viewing angle, and 3D Y/C digital comb filter. The stereo speakers produce 30 watts of audio power and include a Sub Bass System (SBS) as well as SRS 3D surround sound and stereo MTS sound with dbx noise filtering.

For added convenience, this TV includes front AV input, a backlit universal remote, speed surf, and dual-tuner picture-in-picture (PIP) with split-screen capability. With the built-in V-chip control and front-panel lockout, you control the television content for your family.

This unit also offers channel return; sleep and off timer, speed surf, one-button sleep timer, favorite channel, trilingual onscreen display, and return channel. Other connections include two rear AV inputs, two rear S-video inputs, two RF inputs, center-channel audio inputs, AV output, and variable audio output for hooking the set directly into an amplifier connected to external speakers.

Toshiba offers a one-year warranty on parts and a 90-day warranty on labor.

My husband and I could not be happier with this TV. It was delivered on time and set-up by the delivery service. The picture is fantastic as is the sound. Highly recommend this TV if you are in the market for a large screen.
