This A/C adapter worked fine with my laptop, however it is advertised as a Toshiba OEM adaptor but it did not have Toshiba printed anywhere on the item. This is a small gripe because the item worked great, thats why I gave it 5 stars.

I purchased this AC adapter in November of 2010, and it finally died today. It began going out a few weeks ago. I'd have to take the adapter out of the plug and push it around to get it to work. Today it finally stopped working. I picked up a universal charger today just to make sure it wasn't my computer, and it worked fine. So, I'm left with this charger being bad after just four months of continued use.

The power supply I received was Toshiba labeled and has worked well so far (about 2 months) and was of the correct specs as described. The supply does not run overly hot and unlike some of the other reviews the cord is approximately the same length. I'm happy with it and glad I spent a little more for this one than some of the cheaper ones.

I bought this power cord in February 2010. It is now October 2010, and I have to replace it already... The cord is too short for many situations in using a laptop. Really, the only positive thing about this cord is the price which has come down nearly $20 since I purchased mine 8 months ago.

This made a great replacement power cord for my Toshiba Lap Top. Very happy with it.

We are very plased with first purchase, so we ordered the second one. both of our charger quit the same time, we are glad it arrived on time. the cord is a little bit shorter than the original, it doesn't bother us though. I would suggest anyone to purchase this item from this Vendor.

This was much cheaper than buying the same product through Toshiba, although you do get what you pay for. The cord that plugs in to the laptop easily comes unplugged from the brick. Although unlike other reviewers, I didn't notice the brick getting much hotter than the OEM product.

Item worked as advertised. It is a bit smaller than the original and has a slightly shorter cord running from the brick to the wall socket. It has worked flawlessly so far, even though it runs hot, but so did the OEM piece it replaced.

Exactly what I was looking for! AC adapter came super fast, and works great! My old one had worn out from years of wrapping and packing, and it was a sincere relief to get a fresh one that fired right up. The only minor thing I might say as a possible con is that the cord is nowhere near as long as the original... but it's nothing an extension cord can't fix. You really cannot beat the price. Toshiba's website charges a mega-exorbitant price for replacement parts.

This Toshiba adapter is better than the original adapter it replaced:
+ The 3 prong cord that plugs into the wall (original was 2 prong) is heavier duty.
+ A 90 degree turn on the connector coming out of the laptop (original came straight out) means less stress on the cord.
- The overall length of the cord is about 18" shorter than on the original, a limitation that takes getting used to.
