Toshiba Exceria Pro 1066x CompactFlash High Speed Memory Card

The EXCERIA PRO line of high-performance CompactFlash memory cards is the perfect storage option for your high-end DSLR camera. Available in three capacities: 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB, these CompactFlash cards offer high-level read and write speeds, and they are perfect for high-resolution image capture, sustained continuous shooting, HD video recording, and high-speed data transfers to other devices.

Industry-leading Performance in the Market

The CompactFlash memory cards integrate Toshiba’s high-performance NAND flash memory and specially developed dedicated firmware. They achieve a read speed of 160 MB/s and write speed of 150 MB/s, the highest level yet reported.

Superior Performance for High-end DSLR Cameras

These cards are compliant with the Compact Flash Association (CFA) standard CompactFlash Specification Revision 6.1 and are compatible with the UDMA7 high-speed interface, ensuring they can maximize the full performance of high-end DSLRs.

Optimized for Full HD Video Recording

The EXCERIA PRO CF cards are compatible with the latest “Video Performance Guarantee Profile 2” standard, VPG-65. VPG-65 secures Full HD video capture streams at a minimum write speed of 65 MB/s for compatible host devices and recording media. VPG-65 enables 4K resolution (a digital movie file format with horizontal resolution of approx. 4,000 pixels and vertical resolution of approx. 2,000 pixels) movie shooting and high-quality Full HD video capture at high frame rates with no dropped frames.

Why Toshiba

As the inventor of NAND Flash and world’s most experienced NAND Flash manufacturer, Toshiba’s removable storage solutions offer industry-proven quality and reliability with leading speeds, performance, and capacities. Toshiba NAND Flash Memory is built with leading-edge technology in one of the world’s largest and most advanced NAND flash fabrication facilities.

Works at about the same speed as a Lexar 1000X in both my computer and my camera for a little less money (at least on a Gold Box deal). I got read speeds of 120 MB/s and write speeds of 60 MB/s using a Lexar card reader on a new Macbook Pro. In my camera, a Nikon D800E, the number of shots before the buffer filled was almost identical at 21 frames for an uncompressed 14-bit NEF photo.

The things that this card doesn't give you vs. the Lexar are the rescue software, lifetime warranty, and an excellent RMA process from Lexar. I don't really know what the Toshiba RMA process works like, and I hope I never find out. I do know that I've returned a 4 year old Lexar card that stopped working and received a new replacement right away.

I bought this on a whim because it was a deal of the day, so it was maybe 15% cheaper than a Lexar, but I don't think I'll get another, there is really no speed advantage and a lot of unknowns quality wise.

It's fast and feels well built. I've used it to shoot 1080p25 raw continuously on a 5d3 without any issues.

I bought this for my Nikon professional camera because it is fast, the brand has been around for memory cards a long time, and it was relatively inexpensive. It works great and hasn't failed me yet. What else can I say?

First off I've been using Toshiba cards for some years and it's always reliable and well priced. A good alternative to some better known cards on the market. Do try and comes highly recommended!

I was hesitant about getting this card, but I have to say (whole heartedly!) this IS one very wicked FAST card!! THANKS Toshiba!!!! RAW and JPG in a 5D MKII is waaaay more than I can shoot! DO make sure that this card works when you get it in the camera that you intend to use. Check all of the photos out before you shoot seriously too. This IS a great card and has an excellent warrantee!
