I bought this set for my husband's shop and he is the only person to use it. Two days ago the DVD player stopped dead. We used the cleaner and it worked fine with that. We played a CD on it and that worked fine but the DVD will not work and it will cost us almost 2/3 of the purchase price to see if we can get it repaired. I am very disappointed in this item. It is the second Toshiba DVD player that has stopped working with no warning. I won't be buying this brand again.

I recently purchased this TV. Took it out of the box, turned it on, and it worked extremely well. As with most Toshiba TVs, the picture is very nice, especially for not being a flat screen TV. Also, it plays DVDs quite well. My only complaint is that the DVD tray ejects too slow for my taste, but it only takes a few seconds, just longer than most stand alone DVD players. The DVD player can also be noisy at first when the disc begins to spin. The remote that comes with the TV is set up quite nicely, and the buttons glow in the dark, which is a nice feature, however, you cannot read what the buttons do, just see them. One thing I was surprised at is Toshiba actually provides batteries for the remote. Nothing major, but a nice touch.
Overall, for the price, you get a nice combo TV. It has the excellent picture quality that most Toshiba TVs have, and the DVD player that is bundled with it works very well. You cannot purchase a nicer stand alone 19" TV and a seperate quality DVD player for a better price than this TV. I highly recommend it.

I initially purchased two units. One failed intermittently and the other failed completely. I returned the one and received a new one from the factory. It failed within a week. Additionally, the one that failed intermittently has rolled over for good.

The failure of all three was the power. They would all shut off immediately after they were turned on...within a second or two.

Good TV for the price.
Pros: Good clean crisp picture, have never had a problem with it. Keep in mind I do not have the remote. Has Audio Video plug on the front with Left/Right RCA audio plugs and 1 Video RCA plug. DVD functions great! Even without the remote. Easy to open/shut and play although without the remote its hard to fast forward but you can forward chapters on the front :( Volume is good

Cons: It is a heavy and bulky TV but this is only in relation to flat screen TVs. All the tube TVs are the same way so it's not really a con.
