Perfect fit for my 4th gen ipod.,
I ordered this because it was an exact match for my 4th gen ipod, and the swap worked perfect. This is a tough little hard drive. My old one lasted 4 years with very high usage, numerous drops, and extreme temperature changes.

It took years of waiting for these little drives to come down to realistic prices --- originally they cost as much as a new iPOD. I'm pleased to have my original iPOD back up and running.

After my iPod 4G broke, I considered it getting fixed by Apple and was quoted a price of $240...almost as much as I paid for the ipod itself. I read a great review online on how easy it is to replace a broken hard drive in the iPod and thought it was worth a shot. For ~$25 including shipping I got this hard drive, which is identical to the one used by Apple itself and was able to easily replace it in less than 5 minutes. My iPod works like new, and to boot I saved a ton just by using this. Great product.
