I've bumped the laptop quite a few times over the last 5 years and this hard drive still works fine. Though you should probably avoid bumping your laptop. :)

I bought this HDD to replace a damaged one in my five years old Toshiba satellite notebook, I did installed it and it works OK. I hope it will last some more time than the former one.I have a general comment about HDD and PC manufacturers: Why don't they develop some means for advising the users, when a HDD is getting bad and need to be replaced avoiding lossing valuable information?. Backup is not the real solution!!!!
