Toshiba's FST Pure flat, glass surface features a wider viewing angle compared to traditional radius CRT sets, enabing you to see more picture from a greater range of angles with less room light reflection.

The incorporated DVD player features compatibility with Video CD and CD-R/CD-RW discs as well as MP3 and WMA digital audio formats. With the JPEG Viewer, you can easily display your favorite digital photos and create custom slideshows with a few simple clicks of the player's remote control. The interactive Digital Picture Zoom feature allows you to select an area of the video from a DVD and magnify it. Enhanced digital processing during moving video or freeze-frame playback produces superior color fidelity and resolution. The 4-in-1 memory card reader accepts Secure Digital (SD), MultiMedia (MMC), Memory Stick, and XD memory cards.

The 4-head VCR offers superior slow motion effects over conventional 2 head VCR designs. The 19-micron heads match precisely the width of the SP and SLP azimuths and read only the signal recorded on each azimuth (not adjoining tracks). Features includes one-touch recording, 8-event/1-month programming, auto tracking for optimum picture quality, and SP/SLP record speeds. The Commercial Skip feature on the remote enables you to automatically advance a tape forward by 30 seconds; you can press it a maximum of six times in a row.

The MW14F51 has a double baffle front-firing speaker design, delivering the most stereo sound reproduction available from a television's internal speaker system and enabling you to eliminate the hassle of connecting to your stereo system. Use the single RCA-type output jack to send signature multi-channel audio--coaxial Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound output--to an audio/video receiver with a compatible input. It includes three Picture Preference presets (standard, sports, movie) as well as a Memory Mode that allows you to customize your own settings and save them. Other features include an ergonomic, glow-key remote control, tri-lingual on-screen displays, and V-chip parental control.

This is a very solidly built product. The front panel has the usual audio/video inputs, plus a media card slot. The TV also has all the "bells and whistles" for timed programming and recording. The only warning I would give to purchasers is that the manufacturers apparently expect everyone to be on cable, so no UHF/VHF antenna comes with the TV. If you are non-cable, like me, and want clear reception of local area stations, you will have to buy a UHF/VHF antenna at your local electronics store.

The Toshiba 14F51 14" TV/DVD/VCR Combo gives you crystal clear quality. The TV has a nice flat screen. The colors are great as well as audio. The remote makes using the TV/DVD/VCR easy, no longer do you need to juggle 3 remotes. The DVD also allows you to copy onto videotapes with ease. I create my own movie DVDs, the VCR allows you to easily copy the DVD onto the videotapes. Obviously, this feature would not work with copywrited material. The TV is awsome in all respects. I do not own stock in Toshiba, but I must say they made a great TV.
