I was just looking for enough time off the charger to print a few things or watch a show in the kitchen while I cooked. I was skeptical but happily surprised when the battery was fully charged and said I had 5 hours! Beats the price of a new one which would have been about triple of what I paid! Will be back when I need a battery again! :)

This is the 2nd one of these I have bought. The first one was in approx June 08. I bought this one because the other got to the point that it only would last about 45 minutes on a full charge. The length of charge starts out well - 4 hours give or take, depending on what programs you are running. I do not keep it in the computer once fully charged because I have heard overcharging it will shorten the battery's life. Of course, with being able to hold more of a charge comes with more batteries (and weight) to hold that charge. I have read the other comments about the design. Personally, I am on the side of liking it. I like the added height it gives, and I don't feel like it really digs into my legs. I travel in airplanes a lot. The disadvantage for me is the weight. A couple extra pounds makes my computer bag 30% heavier. That is a big difference.
One other thing...This battery had a different model number than the last one I had. (I think the old one was PA3535U-1 (no "BRS"). Everything looks the same. All the inputs and outputs of power are the same. I think it is just because the first one was 2 years old.

When I purchased there were reviews of other batteries that did not charge as quickly as original and did not hold charge. This battery is a great replacement if you want original equipment performance. I think its worth the extra.

The look of the battery is actually a blessing in disguise as i am able to type freely without worrying about causing the laptop to overheat while on my lap.

This battery works wonderfully. It arrived a few days after ordering and I was thrilled I didn't have to wait weeks for it to get to my house.
