No, I'm not a bad tpist or speller... read on. I purchased this laptop only a few days ago for use at work (Engineer) and at home. Since some of my primary engineering sofware doesn't run under Winows 8 yet, I had to wipe Winows 8 off and install Windows 7. This is no easy feat and wouldn't recommend it for the faint of heart. Nonetheless, it has been working well since then and seems to be a good laptop except...

The main reason I'm putting this revie up here is because of the keyboar. I read other reviews that mentioned keyboar issues but I ignored them at y own peril. The typs in this review are not because I cant spell, but because the keys dont work very well. As yo press them don, the click like any other keboard but then you hae to press them down even futher for the key to register. You have to really hit the keys aggressivly to get them to register roperly, which is annoying not only to me but to everyone else sitting near me. And I'm tired o hittin the backspace key to corrct al of the spelling mistakes.

I've ben using computers heavily for oer 25 years and this is the first time I have ru into this...

Crashed after 2 month of owning it. Toshiba wanted me to pay to ship it to them. NO CLASS OPERATION. HP, Dell and Apple send you a prepaid box to ship back in. Next, the person on the phone was rude! Tried to tell me it was my fault. Really? I figure if Brian Williams of NBC cant get his fixed, then I give up. BTW, my Toshiba Excite Tablet took a dump after 3 weeks. Done with Toshiba. BEWARE.

Within 4 months since bought it, it went down. Paid $20 to send it back for repair without a laptop to use for two weeks. The repair slip stated" the problem was duplicated" and " motherboard was replaced". Within a week after it was repaired, it went black screen after it was started. Called Toshiba, and they offered me a "generous" free shipping. After two weeks' without my laptop,I got it back. Again, the repair slip stated" the problem was duplicated" and "the battery was replaced". The customer service manager was trying to push away responsibility and did not respond me as the customer rep promised. Worst experience ever!
