I've had a few all-region DVD players and have never been thrilled with the picture quality. I was just happy to view the non Region 1 DVDs. What attracted me to this DVD player was the HDMI connection feature.

First of all the machine itself is so slim and compact and the remote is simple and easy to use. It's a great looking piece of equipment.

NOTE: When you first set up this DVD player it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to follow the instructions regarding matching it to the exact output of your TV. I have a 1080i output but thought I'd get a better picture if I selected 1080p on the set up. I was so unhappy with what I saw. The picture itself was great but jumpy. So I changed it to 1080i and what a difference. It was like watching my region 2 DVDs for the first time. This a fantastic DVD player and I can't recommend it highly enough. You won't be disappointed I promise!!!!

great price, great product, but originally packaged for Russian market? anyhow, great fast delivery and good packaging, had no problem setting up and quality is great. an overall very satisfactory purchase!

Everything arrived in good order and the DVD player works great. We have a number of DVD movies from other countries and we are now able to play all of them.

Item is sleek and light. Not complicated to connect or use. Responds quickly and does the job. DvDs look great. It's a winner!

As an expat I own an important collection of imported DVDs from Europe and SouthAmerica. I was fed up of looking for a true multiregion DVD and even had to return a Pioneer unit to Amazon. This Toshiba unit solved all my problems: it has played every single DVD I have tested it with (including discs from Spain, UK, France, Argentina and US), the HD upscaling via HDMI connector works great, and the USB port also works correctly.

The only issues I've noticed are about DivX and MKV formats in files included in the USB port: newest formats are not accepted (MKV) and some DivX files will play with no sound or won't play at all. Not being an expert I guess it depends on the encoding used on every file.

Overall, a great WIN for this. Recommended!

This was a complete rip off and I will never buy a Toshiba product again. I had to have a knee replacement surgery at the time the player arrived so it was about 2 months before I got around to hooking it up. The drawer will not open at all no matter what. It was too late to return to Amazon so I sent it back to Toshiba. They sent it back and want $95.00 to repair a dvd player I only paid $65.00 for to begin with. My own fault on the return problem, but what a bad company to deal with. The machine was never used and the warranty is not valid after less than 6 months? Buy Toshiba products at your own risk. Plug and play your purchase within one week of receiving it. I feel really duped.

i recieved this the first day and it worked fine, great sound and picture, then the next day it kept malfunctioning on me turning on by itself and to the point it wouldn't play none of my dvds, i had to return it. i wouldn't recommend it(maybe i had a defective one)im going to stick with my pioneer brand.

A great product, handle various regional coded DVD formats without problem. Practically no setup is required and works great. Most satisfied. Am thinking of getting a second unit of this.
